This season I was confident I could switch off to all the infighting, backroom dealing and power play BS that has dominated our little JV for the last few years but alas no.

The actions of the admin, board and players has sucked all of my enjoyment out of football this season and at times made me question my passion for the club.

Well done to all concerned

Most fans follow a team purely to pursue their love of rugby league not club politics. I am sure that every Wests Tigers has hated the extreme turbulence, some very serious, some downright stupid, that has occurred at Wests Tigers this year. Personally what I want within the club is peace, stability and the atmosphere to enjoy rugby league. Please lets hope we can this before the end of this season and the stench doesn't carry into next season.

All the recent signings (and departures) have Potter's name all over them.
Add to that there is no way we could be paying for three coaches next year.
This thread is a waste of space- he's not going anywhere

The Board need to dismiss themselves. What a bunch of unprofessional time wasters this lot are. I knew this joint venture was in trouble when they named it 'Wests Tigers'. Had it been just the Tigers I'd have given it a chance. If Potter goes because of this group of dunderheads then I'll follow someone else, and I have been a
tiger supporter since 1968.

You my friend are a complete JACKASS it's idiots like you who should be not posting mate tell me this where is your Balmain leagues club ohhh that's right it's an abandond old shell of a building now wests ash field is propping this kc up ATM while your balmin board work out how to get some month

Ridiculous thread and board if this happens. He's been coach for 8 months. Is it even 8 months? He's Inherited a team. Inherited a rabble of wanna be's or wanna goes. Inherited a coaching staff that's incompetent. It's obvious Potter is making changes, long term changes. He obviously has a plan. That is impossible to make work in less than 8 months. I don't care what super coaches are out there. There is no way a Bellamy, Bennet, Macquire, Hasler or Robson could have done any better with the cards Potter has been dealt. Seriously. Wake up to yourselves.

Sack the board, that's what needs to happen.

I agree with a few others, if they are dumb enough to do this, I also won't be renewing my membership.

The club needs to come out and defuse this situation if its not true , as we can see it is tearing the club and its fans apart

How the hell are going to beat Parra with all this crap going on

Mick should be given the job until 2015 and if the side hasn't performed by then he should get the punt but not before then. Rebuilding takes time especially after Teflon Tim's boys club BS that ruled the roost for years.

Statement from Wests Tigers

Following speculation in the media over the past two weeks regarding the Club’s review of the Coaching structure at the Wests Tigers, the Board and Executive Management team of the club would like to state the following.

The Board and management of the Wests Tigers are committed to providing our members, corporate and community partners and fans the most competitive team both on and off the field. With this in mind, the club has decided not to extend the contract of three existing members of our support staff for 2014\. For avoidance of doubt, these decisions are not performance based and these individuals involved have been informed.

The demands and expectations of an NRL coach and his staff are enormous. Success on the field and man management off the field are two of the most import things a coach will be judged on. There is no doubt we have had our game day challenges this year with both injury and performance but there is also no doubt that we have witnessed some trends off the field that we need to fully understand and rectify immediately.

In regards to Head Coach Mick Potter, there is no doubt that he has had some outstanding success as Coach and he was obviously a tremendously gifted player.

That aside, the Board and Management of the Club need to fully understand the position we find ourselves in and work with Mick to come to the best outcome for both himself and the club. There are many options we can consider. The most favourable of these options is to work with Mick to develop a coaching structure and provide the personnel the club needs to create a consistent winning attitude. This is a key priority for club CEO Grant Mayer.

The structural recommendations and personnel to fit these roles will be presented to the Board at the end of August.

Over the closing five rounds of the competition, the Club fully expect that the coaching staff and the players continue to take pride in their personal performance and understand that winning starts from within. This is a proud club and we fully expect that every person that is fortunate enough to represent the club understands what it means to be a Wests Tiger.

No further comment will be made about the Coaching review until the Board meet and consider the structural recommendations.

Yeah, but usually mayer is so quick to do that on twitter. Didn't see the need for a press release over a rumour. But obviously, now i do. it was over the review of the coaching structure not just the rumour.

No, he's gone …....... the Board strikes again ......... I knew he wouldnt last.
He may get some lower role but as head coach he's finished.
