Wests Tigers target Johnson - Widdop..

Guys I have been told a lot is happening behind the scenes and there will be some plays for gun players and mediocre players will be brushed. Times have changed. Get on the bus

Hi mate any ideas who else we are chasing?

I would prefer Johnson wearing 6 but playing both sides of the ruck. I think he and Brooks would be an excellent halves combination. I think they can compliment each other and both have good kicking games.
My spine (hopefully):
1\. Tedesco
6\. Johnson
7\. Brooks
9\. Liddle

Johnson would be my preference, he's got the x-factor we need in attack. Put him behind a dominant forward pack and he and Brooks would be a great combination.

My question would be you sign Johnson and you have 2 No 7's

I see neither Brooks or Johnson true 5/8's

Well that's odd as Sterlo said having Foran at the Warriors directing the team has allowed Johnson to pick his moments..thus improving his effectiveness…

Numbers on halves backs don't mean much these days..

Doesn't matter anyway , the Avatar "KOD" you have will see Brooks jump ship in the cooling off period so we can sign both Widdop and Johnson

Problem solved , thanks Geo , your the best :sign:

Seems no one is listening to you….

SJ made the team..

Would love SJ, but it's going to take a lot to get him to cross the ditch, even with Cleary. Widdop imo should be the clubs no 1 target.

Johnson does not want to leave the warriors….and they want to keep him...so we can forget about SJ being an option

SJ is successful behind a big and aggressive Warriors Pack, im not sure how he will go with our weaker sort of forwards.
Not that they dont try its just they fade in and out too much ..

As for Widdop, a confidence player. When chips are down he can struggle too

I still think Maloney is who we would be better suited with

Even if this is not true it is good to have some positive news instead of just players looking elsewhere. This King of news is good for teddy and woods to hear as they will know we are moving in the right direction.
For me I would go for Widdop as cheaper , kicks goals and comes out of the storm system as well.. God we just need some good news

Both add alot of upside for the team. Would be happy either way if we nabbed one of these.

Johnson & Teddy combo could be anything with a decent forward pack.

Keep Teddy and build the team around him, Johnson and Teddy combo would be lethal but I can't see SJ being signed and I can see the Rorters getting Teddy

Agreed, Johnson is too much like Benji imo and let's face it, the Warriors still struggle most weeks even with him behind the big forward pack! Widdop also was quite woeful up until this year, but now he and McCrone have clicked, on the back of a great forward pack, he probably won't want to leave.

Maloney would definitely be the best option for us I reckon, in more ways than one, but honestly I can't see any of those blokes ever wanting to come here. They all seem genuinely happy where they are now.

Warriors having a big pack is a Myth..their back row are all workers..Props are OK but outside Vete wouldn't say they are big or aggressive…

There outside backs except when Aysh is there with Kata, Manu, Fizzy, the mini beast and Sheck run bloody hard...Johnson plays a lot on the back of their work..

Johnson for me..
