Heres a suggestion,why doesn't everyone put down the heavy artillery,pitchforks,swords,daggers and even the cannon fodder,and give JT the chance to do good things with this team this year to prove wether or not he can make the finals with the players he has..if there is no improvement or wins in the next 5/6 rounds then bring out whatever you need to send him out the door…we can sit down and be keyboard warriors all we like and pass on our opinions...the difference is that JT is the club elect for coach and he is the boss,the pressure is on him to get results,theres no pressure on the keyboard side of things.....give him the chance and support he deserves for at least putting his hand up and coaching the team after all the dramas previously and during his tenure.....

Confusing post. Do you want everyone to give him the chance to make the finals or just 5/6 rounds?

JLJ would be good odds to be added I'd say. I doubt McIlwick will play 80 minutes.

I would say Edwards or Taylor will cover 9..when McIlwrick needs a spell…

If JLJ can kick goals I would, with Rankin out, put in the run on side s hooker.

Wouldn't Suli be in our top 25 now that we've given him a new 3 year deal + upgraded deal for this year ? 300k+ per season

Fwiw, he was named on an extended bench for the Cowboy trial, also in jersey 21, and he was a late inclusion into the starting side. There's definitely a method here. Maybe the 21 jersey is the only one that fits him. He's a big boy.

Actually what is the Jersey situation with NRL clubs now days? Is it new ones every week or do the players take turns every week washing them and they also bring the oranges that week? :smiley:

CB has mentioned Cleary **and if he is available we don't need to look to much further**. He would be another good buy from the Panthers. The Eels recruited an assistant coach who has lifted that team. We could do the same as we are a club with a large talent base.

But thats what most people are saying. Lets see fhe first 6 rounds if we are flying then lets look at extension.

However if we are struggling then lets not waste this year completely and make the big call. I think cleary has less bargaining power then last year and would definitely be worth the investment.

Credit to JT for this team. The fact there is no Lovett and no Rankin already has me buzzing.

I really hope your right about JLJ being on the bench. It would completely dilute everything elijah adds to our team by having him at hooker. Dont do it JT.

I disagree completely. I do not want a coach swap while we're into the season.
JT has been preparing the squad for many months now. He should see the year out and be judged by the results of it.
Play finals = talk about contract extension
Miss the finals = jog on.

Finishing 9th last year has brought him a lot more time than 6 rounds. The club will hold their nerve for longer than that.
