WESTS Tigers Team V Souths

I think everybody looking for a taylor to be axed are missing a huge point.

Robbie Farah!!!! Taylor did what the board told him to and was the front man to move farah on.He coped heaps of crap for it but make no mistake he was told what needed to happen. For that reason alone he will be given this season as a thanks for removing him.

Oh dear you mean JT was a puppet all along?Forgive me if i dont believe a word of it seems like an excuse even before a comp game is played.

If what you say is correct, then the board have form and if it all goes pear shaped the board will drop him as quickly as they backed him. Best bet for JT is to get the team winning.

Yeah…. He forced a 240+ game origin rep out if the club all on his own volition.... Fair dinkum, pull yer head out

I know the forum is split about JT, but he has failed every test so far, so I guess he needs to be around the top 6 by round 10 , or we have again wasted another season on a useless coach. I will put it right out there I think he is not a coaches a**** hole, but I will give him to round 10, before a really start calling for his head. but this will change if he brings Lovett back into the side after his ban, having rankin is bad enough without him been there.

I believe BP by round six JT's future should be determined. If the Board is savvy, there should be a replacement in situ to take over so the year is not wasted.

So you want someone waiting around dependant upon possible negative results….. Yeh let's just hook up a potential replacement first grade coach. We only lost $4m or so last year if reports are to be believed.

Who... Pray tell?

And if the results happen to be positive... What do we do with this wallflower?

Unbelievable

JT was the sacrifical lamb that was "used" by the board to move Farah on. I see 2 things that can happen:

1\. We got of to a great start, the big 4 sign on, JT gets an extension.

2\. Get of to a bad start. JT given the chop, cleary comes in and pitches his plans to the big 4 and hopefully they all sign.

We might have to pay him out if we take Paws advice.

He is the lowest paid coach in the NRL so not going to cost you much.

Not sure about that.

Have all these people ranking Suli above Rankin actually seen him play? For a bloke whos only played 2 under 20s games there seems to be a lot of fans that know his game back to front.

He offered more than Rankin in both trials. He's big and strong and a handful in attack, but more importantly he made some good defensive reads. Yes, much better than Rankin and he'll improve a lot more yet.

I'm not against him debuting this week and i hope the coach thinks he's ready and does so. I just don't think it's time to grab the pitchforks if he doesn't.

I've seem him play quite a few times at centre. From memory, players such as Darius Boyd, Karmichael Hunt and Jordan Kahu (bad luck with injury) made their debuts in first grade at a young age after having played few lower grade games, It is a very exciting time and I hope we see at one least one more debut in the outside backs this year. We need some size and pace on the wings and I hope Suli shifts to right centre which is his position.

Yeah but you think Wigthon is a better fullback than Teddy so your opinion on players doesn't count for much… :unamused:

I suggest every take the named side as the intended starting side to avoid disappointment on Friday evening.

I would be very surprised if Taylor, or any coach for that matter, would play a rookie who has only played two games of NYC in Rd 1, even ignoring the fact that it would be in a position that the rookie has played very little football.

With the Cap situation JT inherited, he has been trying to form a decent side with one hand tied behind his back. The fact he got us to 9th last year with that situation should get him an extension alone. I still get blown away how many people disregard that massive elephant in the room! Thank god some of us here aren't in Tigers management.

All I want to see is improvement. I think that's the only fair way to gauge JTs success until he has a clean balance sheet.

Wouldn't he be in the top 25 if they _**planned**_ on using him early in the year?
This will just put unnecessary pressure on the 2nd tier cap from week one

Obviously there are a few judges who agree with my view about the young man. But please don't hold back in regaling us with your opinion. :unamused:

As for Wighton, remember he plays centre, half, wing as well as fullback. At six feet two or so, over 100 kgs and yards faster than your beloved "Teddy", he certainly is a fine player.

The Brand of the WTs was considerably tarnished by the way JT went about it, Does anyone honestly believe Bennett, Bellamy or Green would not have handled the issue in a far better manner?
