Hard to knock any initiative that brings wealth, business acumen and broader networks into the club. Interesting that Pascoe is quoted in the media about it seemingly before any agreement is across the line though.

Barry has a lot on his plate. I’m not sure where he ranks WestsTigers in his list of priorities ?
He is currently President and Independent Board Chair of Diabetes Australia, Chair of the Wests Tigers and CEO of Racing Australia.
I have heard him on the radio talk about the Racing Industry recently.

Or has it been a success in the past? The answer in not a positive one in my mind and we need to shake it up.Before our JV neither club was a massive success and we need to turn it around, imo drastic measures are called for. There is no doubt someone like Tinkler would be a total disaster for us (Clive Palmer would be even worse) but a new direction is required

Who would that be? Board positions like this are not someone's primary focus!

Though we do not know what they were offering or asking for? Maybe they wanted control of naming the side or where the side would play, maybe they wanted all signings to be approved by them. How much of your soul do you sell for that pot of gold?

Exactly and as usual we tell all and sundry we want this guy as a sponsor which also rules him out . I'm all for getting rich backers behind the club but why announce it to all and sundry.

Some eexamples im this case - the club is able under the cap to provide 5 players with cars on top of contracts - 5 players getting 300k Maseratis is much more attractive then 5 protons. Other players will be able to find some amazing deals on cars which are legit but not everyone could find
Then he can provide business and invesment advice to players and also opportunites for future careers, contacts but also builds up your network of contacts for your other sponsors.
Obviously then he can sponsor the club but also to arrange for his contacts or suppliers to look at areas where they could tpa a player more so then him directly.
Anyone who doesent think a player looking for an investment property though currently doesent get a great deal through Harry (i mean legut but best price).
