Absolutely!! Or buy out the football clubs so HBG are the sole owner with just 1 board seat.

Wests Tigers Board meetings should not be focused on these insignificant old issues. Let the legacy clubs sort their own shit out.

I don’t know why people are so adamant that the review should be seen as gospel and be implemented in full.
The owners of the club may not agree with every recommendation made. They may wish to tweak some of them before employing them.
They may even have their own ideas….

Time limits related to on field success makes sense. Years of repeated failures necessitates change. Hopefully that won't be for another few decades though!

I can understand why they would do it being from the 2 foundation clubs but i would much prefer to just have all seats filled by people prioritising the Wests Tigers. Baby steps first I guess the priority are those independant positions being filled to dilute the control of the factions in there atm.

Rick can't even walk into a HBG licenced premises, Burgess, Romero and their two lackeys have barred him for 8 years.


Rick came on the Wests Tigers Life podcast to bring up the multiple issues at board level, risking his future with the club to tell the members & fans what's really going on. Romero, Burgess & Co were given an open invitation to state their case on the podcast (which is available to watch/listen to on YouTube) an invitation they have so far declined to take up.

Of course they can. But they are directors, not owners. The members own the club. So if it's in the interests of members, go for it. The issue most have here is that the directors seem to be acting more in self interest. They'd already agreed to implement in full.

I'd suggest that sentiments here closely echo the sentiments of the majority of hbg members.

Ten years this has been going on, if not longer. No wonder us fans want to see the backend of this crap and want a successful club both financiallly & in on field results with leadership all on the same page.

Hopefully Liquor and Gaming can put a 🚀 up the backside of those who are putting themselves ahead of the team, club members and the fans..... enough is enough.

Wests Ashfield CEO Simon Cook says Tigers name won't be replaced by Magpies

Wests Ashfied chief executive Simon Cook has guaranteed that there will be no attempt by his organisation to change the Wests Tigers name to the Magpies. He also scotched speculation the team would relocate to Perth.

7 member board with an independent chair, 3 other independents with skills relevant to overseeing a successful NRL club, one Balmain appointed rep, one HBG appointed rep, and one Western Suburbs Magpies Rugby League Football Club rep.
