If you look at my past posts you will see I have said a few times we don’t stand for anything. That’s why it’s so hard to build a culture, because nobody knows what to draw on. Hate to sound like a broken record but............1 home ground would be a big start.

We don't need to build anything. Culture stems from history, and we have two glorious histories married into one. We have the richest history and culture of any club.

Playing at one ground in Parramatta, Liverpool, Homebush or Moore Park will not add one drop of 'culture' to what we have playing in Campbelltown and Leichhardt.

In fact I'd go further. There's more to our culture in playing at both Leichhardt and Campbelltown, than there will ever be in us shifting to another ground for the sake of having one stadium.

A curse on Parramatta, a pox on Liverpool, a hex on Homebush. And an uppercut to anyone who says we need to choose between Campbelltown and Leichhardt.

No need to choose between either of them, I love Leichhardt but both grounds are fast becoming outdated.

I could live with moving to a single stadium if it's based on attendences or ease of access or something (even if I disagree), but not if it's based on 'creating an identity'. We already have one.

Long past being outdated. Nowhere near 21st century standard and never has been. They are grounds for the history books of the 20th century.

I believe we need to do a better job of conveying who we are, what we represent and what we stand for. Playing at a singular homeground would be a part of that but is not the main reason I would like one homeground.

If this forum is an example then no way should the club take any notice of a bunch of nuffies like us. Doing so would ensure the club went the way of the Dodo.

If we don’t stop trudging all over the country side as Rugby Leagues nomads we may still go the way of the Dodo

Hear this a bit, but never heard anyone explain the rationale behind it. We make more money with the current set up, the best winning % I believe is at LO. What changes if for arguments sake we make Homebush home?

I honestly think it would improve attendances and membership if we had the one home ground. The current setup would not be the best financial outcome we could achieve moving forward either.

I believe that you think this, and you are entitled to, but would like to know the logic. For example if we have 10K people at ANZ of Parra, we lose a lot of money. If we get over 10K at Leichhardt of CSS we make money. If we played Parra at Leichhardt and got 20K we would "lose" (opportunity cost) money obviously.

How would playing all of our games at Homebush, were revenue is fixed and we lose money against low drawing opposition, not cost us money?

It cant be proved either way, but IMO we would lose membership if all games were at ANZ, mine for one.

Your point about fixed revenue at ANZ or Bankwest doesn't make sense as if the revenue is fixed, how do we lose money against the lower drawing teams? Under the current system we make the same amount no matter who we play. 10k is also below the break even point at CSS and LO

"Fixed" revenue at Homebush/Bankwest is dependent on minimum numbers and that is why small drawers are at LO/CSS. We make more money.

No they are not, we play the low drawers at CS and LO because the big stadiums have the choice of opponents to maximise their revenue. Souths and Bulldogs have been under a very similar deals to play the majority of their games at ANZ. We lose money playing those small drawing games at CS and LO and only do so for tradition. We have improved our break even points at those grounds but one of them in particular sees as losing money regularly.

Mate, I love Leichhardt, I'm there rain, hail or shine and will be till we no longer play there. Sadly that day is fast approaching.

I know you’re a mega fan of Parramatta Stadium but playing there on a permanent basis will alienate more punters ...
If we go to one venue the logical answer is ANZ imo

The new SFS will be the ground of choice.

I could live with that .
SFS just needed a lick of paint ..
The big dollars should’ve been spent on ANZ imo

I think that the club should take their loyal fans a lot more seriously. Listen honestly to what they think and how they believe the club should achieve it. If a club just eliminates the fans from all their dealings then that club is on a downward spiral.

If this forum is an example then no way should the club take any notice of a bunch of nuffies like us. Doing so would ensure the club went the way of the Dodo.

If we don’t stop trudging all over the country side as Rugby Leagues nomads we may still go the way of the Dodo

. . So do you suggest one home ground, like fortress Leichhardt ? what benefit is that ? It's woefully out of date, parking and travel are a pleasure. We have far more pressing issues than how many different parks we play out of.

Yes, we have a lot of pressing issues but this one could be fixed now.

But what would it fix ? like, genuinely fix . . . apart from the preference of some blokes on here that can't seem to let go of selective tradition ?

It would give us a home. Not living 4 months at mums, 4 months at dad's and 4 months in a rental. We're 21 time to grow up.
We're not a club atm , we can't let go of Wests and Balmain.

Fair call, G. Being an ex Magpie, I have no real affinity with Leichhardt. Love the joint venture, but don't have no real affinity with Cambo, either. I don't really think home grounds have the charisma they once did. It's probably only older blokes like me and many of us here that hold certain grounds in esteem. Lidcombe was my Leichhardt, I guess, but that is now irrelevant too. The average younger member/supporter would probably prefer to watch our games at a clean, modern, well appointed stadium where you can't smell the reek of stale urine from 10m away from the toilets.

Then upgrade them both .
Brookvale is about to receive a multi million dollar upgrade .

A multimillion dollar upgrade is lipstick on a pig. Need well in excess of $100m

Load of crap

There have been multi million upgrades done in the past and both grounds still aren't up to standard.

When we’re winning Leichhardt is always at capacity... punters don’t care about standards ..
The games go for 80mins ..

You're right I'd prefer the single stadium to be Bankwest and will argue that until the choice is made, after that I will accept the decision.
