This use to be a peaceful social forum full of insight and interesting debates.

If you listened closely you could pick up the occasional insider tip.

Now it is overrun by either Trolls or Big-shot know it all’s.

We are all fans of this great club.
We do love the club and in most cases are mystified by the moves currently made by management, coaches and players, most agree that change is necessary and the debate brings out all facets of the topic.

But please play the ball not the man.

A lot of people who have supplied inside info get screamed down for getting some player / fact wrong occasionally .....

Who are the big shot know it alls and Trolls .....if you don't agree with someone's actions ...put them on foe

It's hard ...none of us want to be negative .......And I'm as bad as the next ...but I'm sick of this club and how they drive us further and further into the swamp .....I will love this club until they die or I die ......but I have more and more days where I honestly wish they just kicked us out ...because I can't see anything ever improving ...does anyone see us winning a premiership in the next 20 years ......I'll be amazed if we make the 8 three times in the next 20 years

But this is also a problem ...many don't want to see our club like this and even point blank refuse to see the problems we have ....

Thw whole current coaching situation for example ...many blame the coaches .......

Many of you are in lockdown so you may have some spare time .......

So do this for me if you wish and you will get a lot of the answers to your WT's questions

Put every club's top 17 on paper .....and then HONESTLY place WT's players ranked in position against everyone else .....

Done it a few times ..once even on here a few seasons ago .....we finished 14th from memory when I did it

The ROSTER is the problem ....as Ripley used to say "Believe it or Not "

We aren't a Top 8 roster and we aren't even close ..and we can't attract anyone .....where we go from here ...only God knows .....

Its like an amateur club playing in a professional competition.

Our club is run several levels below even that mark sadly.

I often say that to my brother. How did we end up following the worse run club in the worse run competition in Australia?

It's a good thing AFL is a terrible product.

@Geo ....Milone is ready to shine .....the 16 clubs simply don't like him .......you and @innsaneink embarrassed James and he went into hiding .....not my fault lol

The other thing that's happened recently = COVID. Everyone is under more stress than usual, every day, tempers are more frayed than usual, there's far less outlet than usual.

I think pessimism is up and optimism is down. So things like football results, which honestly really don't matter in the broader context of life, become more de-motivating and depressing than they might if you had other outlets, access to your usual support network etc.

It's the same reason why alcohol consumption at home is up - because nobody can go out to blow steam off.

Also for some reason, "10 years" seems to be a breaking point for more people than usual. I think a lot of people believed Madge was a calibre of coach to get Tigers back to the finals, and it's not happened, so they are extra despondent.

At least with Potter-Taylor-Cleary quitting, we could all agree they weren't top-tier coaches / hadn't stayed long enough. But when you get a noted coach in and he doesn't get any results in 3 seasons... it starts to make a lot of people convinced it's not just the coach, it's systemic, inherent to the club itself, no matter who is in charge.

That’s a shame, but you must agree that the roster is constructed on the back of the clubs standing in the game?

Our club ...definitely

Other sides ..far from it

The NRL almost has two different economies as far as rosters and salary caps go .....we have to find a way of getting better if we want to compete ...some clubs toys are PS4's , we are reliant on 2nd hand legos from charities ......

But please play the ball not the man.

Unfortunately it is the result of 10 years of utter failure. Additionally, the club has been around for 22 seasons and failed to make the finals 19 times. It takes a toll on supporters, especially those seeking change.

And to the supporters is certainly does not look like the club is trying anything at all to get the club out of the awful rut it has been, and still is in. Surely the club could communicate something to it's supporters to show them that they are doing something, i.e. signing players or even intent to sign certain players before the next pre-season training sessions begin.

All the supporters are currently getting is silly information from outside source.

The club can't tell you which players it is looking to sign.

Genuine question; if the club set up a ‘gold’ supporter group or something along those lines where they would invite paid members to open forum days for more insight as to their position, their vision, their projections. And provided the subscribers to that group with the information before heading to press but at the same time it’s confidential information that could be repeated but not substantiated by any proof (condition of entry is no phones, recording devices) would some be willing to fork out more than their standard membership to get access?
Has that ever been looked at as an option?

Has that ever been looked at as an option?

Would never happen.

What had happened to this place?

This use to be a peaceful social forum full of insight and interesting debates.

If you listened closely you could pick up the occasional insider tip.

Now it is overrun by either Trolls or Big-shot know it all’s.

We are all fans of this great club.
We do love the club and in most cases are mystified by the moves currently made by management, coaches and players, most agree that change is necessary and the debate brings out all facets of the topic.

But please play the ball not the man.

You'd have people on here spruiking the potential signings before they made it back to their cars .......

Yes but you can only remember so much. And you you can’t physically capture any of that information.

You mentioned signings .....the last thing we need is to be telling the world who we are looking at .....it was the biggest mistake my EPL side would do ...the owners and their sons started weighing in on signings ...they literally chased Charlie Austin off about 7-8 years ago

I didn’t mention signings, although I did respond in regards to signings, it was more I wanted to ask Cochise the question as he sets up the Ambush events.
I knew it was a bit far fetched, but if I could pay for a membership to hear a little bit more from the club I would consider it.

Again I don't want to sound negative ...but we will only hear what the club wants us to hear .......

The only stuff I'd be interested in they would never tell us .....
