This use to be a peaceful social forum full of insight and interesting debates.

If you listened closely you could pick up the occasional insider tip.

Now it is overrun by either Trolls or Big-shot know it all’s.

We are all fans of this great club.
We do love the club and in most cases are mystified by the moves currently made by management, coaches and players, most agree that change is necessary and the debate brings out all facets of the topic.

But please play the ball not the man.

A lot of people who have supplied inside info get screamed down for getting some player / fact wrong occasionally .....

Who are the big shot know it alls and Trolls .....if you don't agree with someone's actions ...put them on foe

It's hard ...none of us want to be negative .......And I'm as bad as the next ...but I'm sick of this club and how they drive us further and further into the swamp .....I will love this club until they die or I die ......but I have more and more days where I honestly wish they just kicked us out ...because I can't see anything ever improving ...does anyone see us winning a premiership in the next 20 years ......I'll be amazed if we make the 8 three times in the next 20 years

But this is also a problem ...many don't want to see our club like this and even point blank refuse to see the problems we have ....

Thw whole current coaching situation for example ...many blame the coaches .......

Many of you are in lockdown so you may have some spare time .......

So do this for me if you wish and you will get a lot of the answers to your WT's questions

Put every club's top 17 on paper .....and then HONESTLY place WT's players ranked in position against everyone else .....

Done it a few times ..once even on here a few seasons ago .....we finished 14th from memory when I did it

The ROSTER is the problem ....as Ripley used to say "Believe it or Not "

We aren't a Top 8 roster and we aren't even close ..and we can't attract anyone .....where we go from here ...only God knows .....

Yeah watching the Panthers and Eels tonight I just can’t visualise us being as good as either of them any time soon. We have such a long way to go and I feel there is no sign of week 2 finals with the limited quality in the roster. Even when we get some quality we have to build cohesion and form. We might hope for a week one elimination if we make it at all by winning a few more games that we should during the season.

I remember watching the Panthers vs the Raiders; early in the season. Can’t remember if we played before them that round as it was a Friday night, but after seeing the intensity in that game between the two sides, I was worried when we played next.

- a poorly performing team
- a lack of any positive news around the tigers. The media constantly feeds articles of our incompetence, we have not signed anyone, and the madge lead turnaround seems to be more 360 degrees than 180.

We also have a lot of polarising people/players in the club and add this to the above differences of opinion result in people being blunter, shorter and ruder to others.

I agree with your POV. There are a couple of regular posters who can be aggressive in the way they challenge opinions and that can lead to aggressive retorts. Add to that we have seen some very recently-joined forum members who deliberately set out to generate a climate of contempt. I have no clue why.

Watching them was incredible.
Both teams were so SO tough. You could just feel the bodies smack together.
When we have played Parra both times we have taken 3 weeks to recover.

3 weeks.
It's a key reason why we are not playing finals footy.

I suspect Penrith may be carrying injuries from that game. Parra just have such big forwards.

We did see Blake Ferguson almost capitalise on one pounce. Yet it was so defensive. I don't like Parra, but I actually feel for their fans that was a grand final level game.

Compare that to Easts (missing too many players) vs Manly. I don't think Manly went to second gear.

I think Souths are going to turn their game into a Grudge match. If it's a scoreathon Manly will win.
Storm vs Penrith will be another brutal slog. With JAC out it's 50/50 otherwise I would say Storm for sure. (rooting for the Panthers, but realistic).

Truth is you have Penrith with a great roster and 3 super coaches making the finals. Bellamy, Bennett and Haslier.

Oh yea our forum. Meh were a little bit more ansy but still pretty friendly. Some people need to take a chill pill but hey it's all Tiger den here (except stay away from the politics thread. It's just stupidly hostile like most political forums are on the internet).
