This use to be a peaceful social forum full of insight and interesting debates.

If you listened closely you could pick up the occasional insider tip.

Now it is overrun by either Trolls or Big-shot know it all’s.

We are all fans of this great club.
We do love the club and in most cases are mystified by the moves currently made by management, coaches and players, most agree that change is necessary and the debate brings out all facets of the topic.

But please play the ball not the man.

A lot of people who have supplied inside info get screamed down for getting some player / fact wrong occasionally .....

Who are the big shot know it alls and Trolls .....if you don't agree with someone's actions ...put them on foe

It's hard ...none of us want to be negative .......And I'm as bad as the next ...but I'm sick of this club and how they drive us further and further into the swamp .....I will love this club until they die or I die ......but I have more and more days where I honestly wish they just kicked us out ...because I can't see anything ever improving ...does anyone see us winning a premiership in the next 20 years ......I'll be amazed if we make the 8 three times in the next 20 years

But this is also a problem ...many don't want to see our club like this and even point blank refuse to see the problems we have ....

Thw whole current coaching situation for example ...many blame the coaches .......

Many of you are in lockdown so you may have some spare time .......

So do this for me if you wish and you will get a lot of the answers to your WT's questions

Put every club's top 17 on paper .....and then HONESTLY place WT's players ranked in position against everyone else .....

Done it a few times ..once even on here a few seasons ago .....we finished 14th from memory when I did it

We aren't a Top 8 roster and we aren't even close ..and we can't attract anyone .....where we go from here ...only God knows .....

Whilst I agree, I’m curious if you did a 1 to 17 of our Chairman, CEO, and Football Manager (not the coach) where would you rank us?

Sorry mate ...I can only comment on what I can see ...got a half decent eye for footballers not Executive roles and without seeing 16 General Ledgers for 2021 or their actual salary cap positions ...can't really comment ....

That’s a shame, but you must agree that the roster is constructed on the back of the clubs standing in the game?

The NRL almost has two different economies as far as rosters and salary caps go .....we have to find a way of getting better if we want to compete ...some clubs toys are PS4's , we are reliant on 2nd hand legos from charities ......

We should get in touch with Lachlan Lewis to see if he's got any audio or gaming equipment going cheap.

The forum is funny for the most part. I think the only frustration for me is someone comes on with a rumour, which is clearly false or a gee up or made up, and then some run with it as fact. Five pages later it is constantly quoted as being fact because it has been mentioned so often.

Sometimes, it would be nice if people could see through the garbage. Every forum has the occasional idiot, troll, tool.

But overall, I say thanks to @Kul and those who set it up.

Its like an amateur club playing in a professional competition.

It's a big stretch to call the NRL and the way it operates 'professional'. It's run worse than a chook raffle and reeks of bias and inconsistency. As a code it is a laughing stock and rightfully so.

Our club is run several levels below even that mark sadly.

I often say that to my brother. How did we end up following the worse run club in the worse run competition in Australia?

Good question.

I come here firstly as a WT supporter, one with baggage, including being a junior player and long suffering Balmain supporter. Secondly, I am here both to express and seek the opinions on footy and general life from a reasonably diverse (apart from gender) community.

In the past 8 or so years since joining have probably argued or agreed with just about every single forum contributor, often and vehemently on occasion depending on the contributor and topic. I am okay with anything personal as I have a 'thickish skin', though try to be civil, don't hold a grudge and hope I have never made another feel uncomfortable.

As to the thread title, the uncertainty in the covid world is no doubt having some effect, just as all things in our lives affect each of us in different ways and is no doubt present on here increasingly of late. Also increasing is a group or gang like mentality that is pervading many threads and as I am quoting your early post, it will likely already be further on in this one as well.

Whether intended or not, it is a presence that no doubt bothers some or could even be intimidating. Either way it is a shame that some posters cannot enjoy our WTF any longer.

Unfortunately it is the result of 10 years of utter failure. Additionally, the club has been around for 22 seasons and failed to make the finals 19 times. It takes a toll on supporters, especially those seeking change.

And to the supporters is certainly does not look like the club is trying anything at all to get the club out of the awful rut it has been, and still is in. Surely the club could communicate something to it's supporters to show them that they are doing something, i.e. signing players or even intent to sign certain players before the next pre-season training sessions begin.

All the supporters are currently getting is silly information from outside source.

The club can't tell you which players it is looking to sign.

Agreed, they shouldn't. I'd rather they played their cards close to their chest... I'd welcome a pleasant surprise any day of the week over nauseating click-bait sinking the boot in.
