No not the only one.

I respect them for that moment in time and the sonic shift it bought about in music but they were never that high on my listen list. Always thought Bleach was barely listenable rubbish. I was more into Soundgarden & Pearl Jam as far as "Seattle Sound" labelled bands went.

I do actually like Johnny Farhnam, have most of his albums and I've seen him five times

I have an eclectic taste in music as I like all genres but I'm very picky with what bands I like. Mainly though I listen to metal, classic blues/rock bands and swing/jazz genres.

My favourite artists would be:

- Metallica
- Soundgarden
- Icehouse
- Frank Sinatra
- Static-X
- John Farnham
- Slim Dusty
- Fear Factory
- Killswitch Engage
- Michael Buble
- Perry Como
- Harry Connick Jnr.
- Dean Martin
- Saosin
- Korn
- Steve Miller Band
- Supertramp
- Steely Dan

Have a soft spot for the 80's nu-wave/nu-romatic stuff, Spandau Ballet in particular. Saw them with Tears for Fears last year and they were absolutely terrific.

I listened to Steely Dan & Rush over the rainy weekend. Two wonderful bands

Being brutally honest, I cannot stand them. Cobain had a lyrical brilliance, but the music was largely an indecipherable wall of sound. But, that's just me and obviously they've had a big impact on a lot of people's lives, given their popularity.

What I hated most was being a 15 year old guitarist wanting to learn to play a wider variety of tunes with other musicians and the only stuff my mates wanted to play was anything off Nevermind or Blink 182's Enema of the State…

Nirvana isn't for everyone…i like a wide variety of music from *whispers* backstreet boys and take that... lol...to a little country like kenny chesney to nirvana and other grunge punk groups like papa roach, green day etc...

when i was over in the states a few years ago i saw green day and papa roach live and i mean that's definately an experience to remember

Scars is one of PR's best tunes, if you would call it a tune

granted its only a side project with Lou Reed, but this kinda sucks on first listen. Luckily they'll have a new album out by this time next yr

This is the Metallica equivalent of the "Dissociatives." Their next album will probably be Young Modern Mk II. :eek:pen_mouth:

Can't decide whether it's better or worse than the collaboration they did with Ja-Rule.

hey lethal, did u go to this???

PLUG

Listening to debut song 'carnival' from Divide & Conquer (Mates band). You can stream their track:

I recommend them to anyone into pop-punk, screamo, hardcore, etc

Listening to the whole of Punk Goes Pop 3… Mayday Parade's cover of "in my head" by Jason Derulo is pretty gnarly.

Not a bad album at all. The Asking Alexandria version of that Akon song is awesome.

I reckon if the covers were written before the originals, the music industry wouldn't be in chaos!
