When moltzen returns

is he going to be halfback or fullback?

i think he's exactly what we need as a halfback, he controls the game which leaves farah and marshall to do their thing.
lui has been good though and i think hes definitely got a big future ahead of him, although i think we'll end up losing him though like we did with de gois.

one from left field is to keep lui at half, moltzen goes to five eight and marshall shifts to centres…

Marshall would never go to the centres. He always wants the ball in his hand so I doubt he could cope with it.

Simply put, I think Moltzen should be halfback. It's best for the team balance with him there.

He will be 7 if Wade has the number 1 Jersey (unless Sheens has other ideas).
Molzten gets too bashed around at FB.
For once i'm not too worried if we let a player go .. ie Lui.. I dont see him excelling with us or any other club..

I would love to see Moltzen as our full time halback. What do you do with Lui ?

Unfortunately I see Sheens making him our number 14 and rotating him between fullback, halfback and possibly centre and wing.

I can live with that if Moltzen gets genuine time at halfback in every game.

And from either further left field. Moltzen at half, Lui at 5/8 and Benji left right out till he gets rid of the silly plays in his game. Would never happen under Sheens, but a new coach like Folkes might just consider it if they thought it best for the team

It would appear that he'll be the halfback with Wade signing the dotted line. Of course no one knows exactly what the coach will be thinking…...2nd row?

Well said .. No suprise if Molzten gets picked in some silly position when he is fit to play under Sheens.
He is shown to be the best 7 the club has..
On Lui , he really needs to earn his rank in lower grades when he is demoted from the halves with Molztens return.

Moltzen is the best half back we have. He and Benji worked well together. The question for me is 'will he return this year from injury if we make the big end of season games???'

The strange thing is Benji chose Lui as his halves partner when Molzten was playing.I remember he gave him big raps and kind of shunt Molzten to full back but we all know Molzten is most effective at 7.
I will try digging the article where Benji compliments Lui as his prefered halves partner..

Here , found the link where Benji picked Lui as partner over Molzten

Moltzen is our utilty can play all positions in the back line well…. all clubs need a player like that.

ive noticed benji follows sheens lead alot though. wouldnt read into it too much.

moltzen imo is the most under rated half in the comp. assuming he plays there next season, i think he'll suprise everyone.

I reckon he'll get first crack at halfback.

Thats only because Sheens has failed to secure that spot Moltzen is NOT a 1/2

Agree… but there are No half backs they are just not being breed anymore...Moltzen may not be a natural half back but his the closest thing to it...Lui is only an under 20's player at best even thou he looks 30.

The only natural halfback coming through is a guy called Billy Kitt but his only 16 and if he can survive the next four years of having big forwards running at him at wide he will be a star.

If he returns, he should be halfback but I'd bring him back thru fullback for a game or two to ensure he's recovered.

I agree 100%, but Tim is too talented to have on the bench.

I'm with fergie & T-rexx, he will probably be our Right Centre…
