Where does Jason Taylor go with our great hooker policy now?!

Plan A would be Robbie Farah and Matt Ballin. That's a pretty solid plan.

Plan B with Ballin blowing his knee out would be Farah and Halatau. Also an ok plan.

Plan C with Woods knocking out Farah is to start ET at hooker to keep the ruck tight defensively, then bring on Halatau in the first round of interchanges to get our attack better organised. Not a terrible plan as Halatau would play around 60 minutes at hooker, with ET's defense taking the early workload off him.

Plan D is to keep ET out of position at hooker for the whole game after Halatau comes on and is immediately concussed. Plan D isn't pretty.

I think it's fair to judge our 'hooker policy' on a fourth choice option that was forced on us on the day.

u can dress it up any way u like, but JT is to blame, he would have found any way to stop robbie from playing. i bet if the 3rd SOO game had been on sunday robbie would have played. how much better would it have been having robbie making 50 plus tackles in the middle and ET creating more in attack, but JT seems to be hell bent on getting rid of robbie.

Disagree. He was going to play. You can't play 4 days after getting a mild concussion.

The Roosters game was a serious concussion, he was in hospital. A concussion like that needs 14 days.

Jt has every right choose his side. If he doesn't want Robbie that's just bad luck for Robbie.
Yet he was made to backflip on that for club harmony.
Robbie is what's wrong with the club culture. It will rub off on the younger ones if Jt doesn't oust him.

Let's pray someone in the UK will snap him up in the off-season.

I'll just leave this here

1st Half 7 complete sets from 12 (58%) …6 errors...39% possession..
2nd half 19 complete sets from 21 (90%)...1 error...60% possession..

Not real sure team selection would have improved that 1st 40 mins...

Did not ET play hooker the other week and we won?

=.

I could be wrong but i dont remember that.

The only 2 times I think he has played hooker are against Easts and Melbourne,.

True Geo - but wasnnt two of the errors from poor passes from dummy half which in turn effected the possession rate.

x2

BP - You would only have a case if Farah wasn't concussed. JT had named him in the team.

So true. I am praying to the football gods this happens. We need this more than anything. This is the absolute bottom line regarding this club.

Bad luck for Robbie - what about the team?
If it wasn't evident to you that we needed Farah yesterday - don't know what you watching.
It now appears that the consensus is that Cherrington is not the answer as first thought , and Liddle is not ready.
The other great hope Ballin may never play again and Halatau is also likely to finish up this year.
So that leaves us with what ? Pay Farah to play somewhere else and buy another hooker ?
Time to drop the ideological culture talk and come up with some concrete solutions.

I am not a 1st grade coach nor do I profess to know as much as one; BUT I find it hard to understand how we can go in to a game as important a the MELB game without a recognised hooker. Especially with hooker being such a specialised position. Smith played havoc with us and we had no answer.

Also interesting of note to see, once again, assistant coach Craig Sandercock doing all the talking at half time and JT standing there like a lost little boy.
Sack JT now. Pretender.

Presume you watched the whole Tiger half time scenario.

If you didn't - you are making it up for your own agenda as usual.

I'll dress it up like this bp.

Farah was ruled out my the medical staff.

Are you saying JT is paying the medical staff to sabotage Farah?

What happened to Jack Littlejohn he is easily better than Halatau or ET @ Hooker.
He played well against the Warriors round 1.

Injured…

Farah will be back next week after being medically ruled out from todays game...Cherrington's form in NSW Cup has been non-existent for months...Liddle was close to playing today...they went with the safer option ...Halatau lasting 10mins didn't help ..hindsight is a wonderful thing..

I'm glad Liddle was close to playing, at least they consider him an option at this stage. Hopefully next time.. because I NEVER want to see ET at hooker again, it's a waste and just doesn't work, it's a double hit to the team. We have 5 hookers currently signed and can't even keep one on the field consistently! Bit of a joke..

Agree Russell. In this day and age you simply can't play someone with Robbie's recent concussion history a few days after he's copped a knock.

He would have played 4 days after his second concussion in a month?

Righto
