Who do you want as our next coach?

Folkes or Stuart would help with our defence but would take away from our attack. I'd still have either of them. Brown is a better tactician I feel and definitely more likeable!

Gees, we're caught between a rock And a hard place, while I can sympathise with our fans call for a change it seems at the moment that their aren't too many coaches out there to sign up.
I hope Steve Folkes has learnt from his final years at Belmore where it all went wrong as he is possibly the only one among the suggested coaches who would or could fit the bill.
About the only up and comer I could suggest is the bloke who is currently in charge of the Catalans in the Super League, the rest haven't produced the goods with what has been available to them, back in 1996 the Knights took a punt on Malcolm Reilly and look how he stabilised things there despite the ARL/SL war of the time, look outside the circle and you might find a better coach, Iestyn Harris at the Crusaders for example, the Catalans coach in Trent Robinson or perhaps former St Helens & NZ coach Brian McLennan.

I have no idea if Folkes or Stuart would improve anything but I do know that Stuart is a muppet of the highest order. Folkes is acceptable compared to Stuart but I am unsure how he would really go. I think his record considering his situation is considerably worse than Sheens is now but then again when Sheens came here he had caused a mess at the Cowboys.

Brown might be okay. Gentle is a coach and a proven coach and I still feel that he is the best option.

We need a coach who can be presented to the media and can coach.

Geez you really have no clue do you?

You call Gentle- a bloke thats never held a senior NRL position 'a proven coach' , over guys like Stuart & Folkes both of whom have mant years experience, taken their teams to semis regulalrly and both won premierships as players & coach -
You call Stuart a nmuppet then go on to say we need someone who can be presented to the media - Ricky Stuart currently works in the media.
Your logic doesnt add up

Everyone relax,if Sheens does leave his position will be filled by none other than a WT favourite currently coaching in the NSW CRL.Mr Fitz, just when we thought we had seen the back of him ….lol

I`d be happy with Ricky Stuart or Steve Folkes. Other than that Nathan Brown wouldn`t be all that bad either.

Some other options outside Sheens and Folkes:

Daniel Anderson

I actually wouldn't mind Ivan Cleary as well

Freddie Fittler would be an interesting choice (even as an assitant)

I've got a bit of time available. And, i would do it for only $300K a year. Save Harry and the club some $$ to spend on players.

Whether you like it or not, it was only 8 or 9 months ago when Ricky Stuart was almost over the line. Personally, not a match for us in my opinion.

Gould - Are you kidding…overated.
Folkes/Brown - Failed before with good squads. Proves good players don't necessarily make good head coaches.
Gentles - No chance.
Elliott - Could do worse.
Rick Stone- 10000 to 1

It will be a high profile coach because that is what the Tigers board wants at the moment. I'm waiting to see someone totally from left field.
EG:
Neil Henry?

Interesting fainty I was considering who else might be available whilst reading the posts and Matty Johns came to mind then I got to your post!!
I hope sheens stays though.

If not sheens, I think Rick Stone looks the goods…but our squad should make any coach look good.
