Who should Madge's assistant coaches be for 2022?

Cooper Cronk is my pick. I know its a pipe dream but we need to get the best out there. He is in touch with the modern game, has been coached by the best at all levels, can help out our halves big time, and can shut down the dribblers on Nrl 360 who unfortunately set the narrative in the footy world. Surely we can do better than Spud - he has packed into one to many scrums in my opinion.

Now that would be a great get. He is intelligent and was a driven player with high standards. He would get his point across to the players without the need for ranting or cliches. If we could get someone like him as an assistant then Madge would have two good people around him - Sheens being the other. Unfortunately won't happen, but Cronk is the sort we want. Intelligent, high standards insistent, calm and considered in his decision making.

100% mate. If we want to be the best we have to get the best. I am sure Harrys cheque book is bigger than Nicks so over to you Justin.

I hadn't considered Cronk. As far as footy brains goes he'd be a brilliant pick, and has plenty of 'cred' as a recently retired star.

Great suggestion @tigertuff

Not sure if he is locked down to the roosters / storm but I would be throwing some decent coin at him. Has the potential to change our club big time. He would be the best for our next breed along with Sheensy. That duo would be the best in the league in my opinion.

Or perhaps an offer of a job in a law firm, to supplement his football gig? If only the club had connections with someone in that industry?!?!

Joey Johns or Matty Johns at least as a halves specialist. Either that or Scott Prince (but is contracted to Brisbane in a community role)

Cam Smith ....Michael Hagan ....Trevor Gilmeister ......Father .....Son ....Holy Ghost

Even then we will still get 10th .....

Players .....Players ......Players .....we need to sign quality players ......assistant coaches can only do so much

You can't turn the Elephant Man into Claudia Schiffer .....they need something to work with .....

sorry i may have missed the post, but have Madges assistant coaches been told to leave?

Collins had been shafted. Everything is good now.

John Morris working with the attack
Dean Pay defence

Morris has taken on an assistant role at Souths from next season.

What about the other Assistant coach?

Dean Pay.

Chammas or Hooper as media manager. Was going to suggest Buzz as chief of corporate hospitality, but he would drink the place dry before the guests arrived.

Matty has said he’ll never work with a club full time again. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him drop into a few training sessions but that’s it.

Yep. I applaud the club for trying to find undervalued players but sometimes you need to go all in. If we are truly committed to being a top class outfit, the coaching staff need to be included in that. Great suggestion.

Farah? Yeah, I can't see a bloke that never coached before making a difference.

Ciraldo only now 36yrs old and wouldn't have a third of Robbie's experience in the game. He was given an assistant role at Riff and made caretaker coach in 2018 when Griffin was punted and only a few yrs later considered head coach material.

It's about motivating and unlocking talent and belief in the younger playing group as much as it is teaching the technical aspects of the game. Robbie was always a hard trainer and willing to do whatever it took to win. Not many have a stronger passion for the Tigers than he does.

100% agree about Robbie, given a little more responsibility he will draw improvement out of our younger players. He has the respect and pedigree required to deliver better outcomes.

I would also consider John Morris

Farah? Yeah, I can't see a bloke that never coached before making a difference.

Made a difference already in a smaller role, briefly...

Imagine what he could do in a more hands on role.

Give him a run in reserves then.

You saying he won't have an impact on up and coming players?

Guys done it all.
Tigers man, through and through.

He'd be more impactful than snoopy and co.

He's not a coach.

Neither was Jason Taylor but you probably supported him . Farah has exactly what this club needs…integrity & passion for the Tigs coupled with a great football brain . Every thing Taylor lacked.
