Winger for Round 1?

some how comment ended up mid page try again Point taken Demps What I was trying to say that most of us feel that the side doesn't need too much tweeking and that with a bit of luck we make GF and go on and win GF If Tim Sheens is going to try something he should not be doing it round 1 maybe try in trial ???

I think Utai is a 4th string option.
I hope we don't see too much of him this year in FG.
All reviews say he is fair useless and I think he may be a bit past it, however he was a good player in his prime.

lawrence isnt the best centre, he's one of the best defensively, but he still has alot to do to be the best centre. his form offensively has been non existent (with the exception of the rare glimpse of brilliance). putting him on the wing gives him more ball, whilst he can still defend in the centres.

marshall isnt even the best five eight for the team, moltzen is 10x the five eight marshall is. its only that marshall's profile and razzle dazzle fools people of his real role as a five eight. dont get me wrong, he's awesome. its just motlzen is better.

Still don't see how putting Lawrence on the wing gets him more ball, I think the opposite would be the case. It would also hurt one of his biggest assets which is to hit the gap. There are less gaps on the wing. Also would be a waste of Lawrence's ball skills as he is great at setting up the outside man.

By the way Lui would be a better five eight than Moltzen. If they were the halves, Moltzen would be halfback and Lui five eight. Lui will be a great halfback but I still think his best position may be five eight.

I for one would never move Marshall from the halves but if I did it would be to fullback not the centres.

agree 100%…. I also think Marshall at fullback would be awesome, that said I wont be moving him from the halves either

I agree with the comment about benji at fullback in broken field he would tear sides apart My concern would be commitment to the high balls under pressure

As predicted, Utai is now our first choice winger.

Sheens must have seen something we all didn't…. or the guy must be tackling Grizzly Bears during defense training....

Bear in mind (no pun intended from above) his usual first choice Beau Ryan is still injured....

I'd be pretty annoyed right now if i was Mitch Brown though.....

I've not seen the team up anywhere??
I'd find it hard to believe he will Pip Brown…
On the bench maybe... So he can slide into 2nd Row as well.
Getting closer people!!

Has the team been named already Can't find anywhere ??????????????????????

The team has been named but not publicised yet. The only two names I caught were Mckinnon and Tuqiri. Would not be surprised to see Utai there.

Benji at fullback will never happen, I wonder if they built his skills as a fullback rather than a five eight how he would have turned out… i think he could have learned to take high balls etc

Faaaaaah Utai, seriously…
Even if B. Ryan is injured - I'd rather throw the opportunity toe Geoff Daniela or even Mitch Brown before I'd even consider this dude.
Shocking, what is Sheens thinking. He is a liability.

Ayshford will have his work cut out helping 'Stumpy" defuse the expected barrage of bombs from Hodkinson. That is if the Dogs are able to mount sufficient pressure on our line. I have confidence in the boys that we will win fairly convincingly so Utais 'short'comings will only be displayed in future weeks. With Brown on Sheens unwanted list all I can say is HURRY BACK BEAU!!!

I have been reading this forum for a couple of years now but only joined today. i have always been the type of guy that listens more then i speak. i joined today for one reason only and thats to tell MTB: sometimes son you gotta stop digging. at no point in time did anything you say go close to making sense. Marshall's attack is what it is because he isn't stuck on one side of the field. i think its a safe bet to say that every body on this forum would agree. when i say that the weakest part of Benjis game when its all boiled down would be his defense. and he is some times, not so often now. hidden in defense. please tell me how u hide a center??? And your comments on Lawrence have me lost for words. i really am with out words. i love Timmy Moltz but MTB come off it brother. some times its best to admit you were wrong or just stop speaking. if you came out and said a better half sure thats a point you can argue but 5/8 :S im not havin a shot at you mate but you have no idea how the game is played. now when you come back to defend this by saying you played for West Dubbo for 16 years all i can say is im sorry for West Dubbo. now if you all wait around for another 2 years i will make another post.
