With Hayne gone is Teddy a chance for Origin?

IMO If Teddy can stay on the field and we get off to a flyer he is a red hot chance for the Origin FB job.

I guess Dugan(who is playing centre) and Moylan are chances, but if Lozza is looking for a dynamic style FB then carn Teddy!

As stated he needs to string some games together first,we all know what he can do,it is staying healthy that is his problem.

Ask non Wests fans about tedesco and you will get:

Who?

Or

That guy, yea he looks like he might be decent…shame about the biscuit legs.

He would need an injury free season of quality play to get the blue jersey I think.

gonna have to fight off moylan stewart dugan and hopoate id imagine before he gets picked. in with a shot but needs to play consistent first

If Moylan continues his form he will be the nsw fullback. Teddy needs to stay injury free to stand any chance.

Of course he is.

Not convinced with Moylan. He has a great passing game and he's a good link player but unless there's a gap, he struggles to break the line on his own and is sometimes shaky under the high ball. Origin defence is so tough I don't see him making much of an impact. Dugan and Teddy are much more dynamic players and highly likely to break open a game with a kick return or a hitup. At this stage though, dugan > moylan > teddy

I hope I'm severely mistaken, but I can't help to think that his speed and lateral movement is going to be affected now, a bit like the Lawrence case.
I think Moylan will be the fullback as I've said it on some other thread a while back.

He came back from an ACL and was arguably the best player in the game for the first 6 weeks or so, I doubt a broken leg would affect him as much as an ACL would.

A bit exaggerated from my part comparing him to the Lawrence case don't think to that extent. You make a good point he was the form fullback at the beginning of last year and that was after coming back from an ACL injury.
His running style is maybe something that may need to be adjusted, but then again who am I to pass such comment when that is not my field. :unamused:

I think the pecking order for nsw fullback would be:
1\. Dugan
2\. Stewart
3\. Michael Gordon
4\. Moylan
5\. Tedesco

This is assuming Dugan goes back to playing fullback for the dragons

Michael Gordon 😱pen_mouth:, disagree

I think the fullback position is wide open. Who ever has the better start to 2015 out of Moylan, Dugan, Teddy and Stewart will be the NSW fullback. If you had to pick one though, you'd assume Dugan is the front runner ATM.

Michael Gordon played really well last year. He's now injury free (playing all 24 games in 2014), he's experienced at NRL level and has been to origin before, and he's probably the best goal kicker in the comp. I reckon Laurie Daley would go for experience over Moylan or Tedesco at this stage. Same reason he went for McManus in game three rather than mansour - he wanted experience (and that was in a dead rubber!)

The fact that he went for experience over youth in a dead rubber shows why we had a 'Laurie Daley Pearls of Wisdom' thread a few years back. Complete stupidity.

Complete stupidity or not though, the thread is about teddy's chances of origin, and seeing as Laurie picks the team, I'm just saying Laurie would pick Gordon before him

I think he will be, but not next year maybe if he can put a full season or 2 at fullback and plays consistently he will in 2-3 years but I don't see it happening before then

Unless Gordon gets off to an absolute flyer in the first 10 rounds and picks up 7-10 dally m points i doubt he will even be considered let alone picked.
