Woods may have stayed if Ivan had come earlier

Klemmer comes across as a child in a man's body.
Failed to mature mentally into a man.

No way I'd want him at this club.

Woodsie certainly knows how to NOT put a story to bed.

If he says "no it's not true mate, definitely going to the Bulldogs; I want to be there in 2018" then they probably hose down the story, like the Klemmer story that came up a few months back.

But he says careless things like "I've got no idea what's happening", when he probably means "it's just an unfounded rumour". And then he says "all I know is I signed a contract with Dogs" - well that's actually a weird way of saying "I have signed with Dogs and intend to honour that agreement".

Everything he said in the above article could be interpreted to mean that he isn't prepared to make bold statements about joining the Dogs, instead turning to "well I signed a contract, right, so for the moment that's what's happening" but leaving the door open for "if that contract was rescinded then we might see what's possible".

The bloke has no idea how to handle the media and douse the story. Even if he was to lie, even if he was working hard to stay at Tigers whilst telling the media "100% I'm going to Dogs no question", there would be minimal backlash. So be more clear and concise Woodsie.

Agree 100% mate, if anything he's just further escalated it :crazy

What really got me was <big>"I've got no idea what's happening"</big>
If he was to come back, I'd welcome him honestly….. Yeah the way he left was horrendous but I can tell he does truely love the club he has just been wrongly guided by his dumb manager, I may get laughed at by that but it's just my view

I'd play Woods at 13

8\. Russell Packer
10\. Ben Matualino
11\. Chris McQueen
12\. Elijah Taylor
13\. Aaron Woods

14\. Josh Alioia
15\. Alex Twal
16\. Esienuhuth
17\. Saouso Sue/ Esan Masters

Looks like it's the same problem as before he signed with the Dogs.
I have not idea what's happening with contract negotiations no one has talked to me for 2 weeks.
I thought that's what you paid a manager for, maybe he's too busy with Mitch.

If the NRL won't register Woods and Forans contract , is there anything stopping them signing elsewhere?

Yeah, the contract. Unless it has an express term allowing them out of it in this situation.

So if the NRL give the dogs till the start of next season to become compliant but the dogs fail to do so, Foran and Woods are stuffed.
Woods must be thriled with his new stable club.

I'd suggest if Woods' manager hasn't already taken legal advice he will shortly. Imagine signing in good faith only to find out your new club wasn't in a position to fit you in the salary cap. This could potentially leave players without clubs! Not a good position to be in.

You can also guarantee the RLPA is keeping tabs on the situation. Taking Woods out of the equation ridiculous situation created by those heading the NRL.

Huge Claims Regarding Aaron Woods' Bulldogs Deal

On the bus?

Hooper has revealed that there is talk within the Bulldogs ranks that one of their big signings may not link up with the club.

"The Bulldogs are in this salary cap jam and the Wests Tigers have actually instigated it and perhaps quietly said to Aaron Woods 'listen, how are you feeling? Are you enjoying your time?'

"Obviously he was quoted in the paper the other week saying that he really enjoys playing under Ivan (Cleary) and it would've been great if he was perhaps there a little bit earlier than when he was brought on.

"He could be back on the bus.

"A lot is going to depend on what happens with the Bulldogs. There's also a belief that some people at the Bulldogs are saying 'well, we're in this jam, do we want both Aaron Woods and Kieran Foran?'

"So perhaps they take Kieran and let Aaron Woods stay.

"He (Woods) might be at the bus stop at least," Triple M's Ryan Girdler said.

I thought it was Forans manager that came out publicly and said they are looking at contingency plans.?

I suspect it's unlikely to happen, but the longer the Dogs go without offloading someone, the worse it gets for them.

Plenty on here criticise Woods playing style, saying he might get metres and play long minutes but lacks impact, and sometimes I agree. BUT, i think he would shine if he was here next year with Packer and Mats doing the dirty work for him.

They have plenty of props. If they don't get Foran after losing Reynolds they're really buggered. I suspect they'd be very keen to ensure Foran comes.

8\. Woods
9\. Mcillwrick
10\. Mautilino
11\. McQueen
12\. Taylor
13\. Elsenhuth
14\. Packer
15\. Lawrence
16\. Sue
17\. Twal

I can't believe that Woods won't be a bulldog next year.
Even more so with how they are sitting right now, if a team needed an infusion of new players, it is the bulldogs.

It just means that they'll have to release more players because they'll be paying part of their wages. Ironically, they'll end up like we were - 3 or 4 very well paid players in a team of mostly plodders. But they'll only be like that for only 1 or 2 seasons not 5 or 6 like us.

Reports have emerged that there was a heated confrontation in the Bulldogs dressing room after their 20-4 defeat to arch rival Parramatta at ANZ Stadium.

Rugby League reporter Josh Massoud reveals Bulldogs prop David Klemmer was approached by a man in the team's dressing room after full-time.

The man abused Klemmer with words to the effect of, 'You're a sh*t player, you can't even offload.'

Klemmer was angered and challenged the man. 'Could you do any better?' he fired back.

Klemmers young family helped diffuse the situation when he walked them out of the dressing room.

Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle was in the room at the time of the incident and confirmed the club had no issue with Klemmer's behaviour.

The man was wearing no team colours and officials are trying to determine his identity.

The NRL recently introduced strict protocols around dressing room access, but these new policies become difficult to enforce after full-time, when venue security have finished their shift and players are still inside.

Woodsy, what have you got yourself into mate…..

You must think we're harsh fans, you do what you did to us at the dogs you wouldn't understand the crap you'd cop, one bad game and they'll be calling for your head like Hasler.

Go ask your mate Klemmer how it's going, you can bring him to the Tigers with you if you want too.

I love how the Dogs are trying to make it out as if it's just some random bloke, cause he wasn't wearing a jersey or a team hat lol

The guy is a dogs supporter, and said in todays paper he was respectful and never abused Klemmer. Said he told Klemmer he should develop an off load, Klemmer took exception. Guy said all of this is on camera and they can check it out, he has done nothing wrong.

Could someone slip into the WT dressing sheds and tell Brooksy to develop a good grubber and field goal - to actually look at the sticks before letting fly.

Woods can come back to us and bring Klemmer along with him. Bulldogs' cap problems solved and our forward pack finalised for next season - works for me! *Simples*

Yeah I'd expect his game to improve with those 2, you'd think so at least anyway.

It's all really interesting at the moment, it would be an easy out for the Dogs and we get a forward that the club is still looking for.

Wish the NRL though would get their crap sorted, should have been done at the beginning of the year really.
