I know I dont speak for all, but I think if Woods was to stay somehow, it is probably the biggest shot in the arm this club has had for a long time.

There will be those that say he is a plodder, a grub, a bigmouth, good riddance etc etc, thats fine.

I just think it would be a great look that someone wants to stay, the club is well run, well coached, and many players would be happy to see him stay. I suspect more people would be happy to see him stay than to see him go.

I dont think it will happen as the dogs would want to walk away without a black eye…....but stranger things have happened in this game. I think it is a bit of media hype just the same.

Agree with this. He has to pay the price for his actions. If we sign him on the big money we were offering before we are a joke. He has spat on the club and can't just say 'oh sorry things didn't work out there can I have the contract again'

Personally I would have him back as a player not as a captain and I would never forget the rubbish he carried on with especially saying he was going to spill all the dirt on the club once he left.

It's not rocket science as to why he's suddenly backing our club in the media. The club he signed with whose winning culture he wanted to be apart of has won 3 games since he announced he was leaving and their prospects for 2018 look pretty grim. He doesn't want any part of it. Remember when he said he'd go into more detail about us after he's gone? Would he still be dumb enough when he gets to Belmore and sees the state his new team is in? I get that his behaviour might not have been as bad and shameless as Moses', but the fact Woods is our so called captain, it makes his behaviour even more disrespectful than if he were just a regular player. I don't recall any captain behaving the way Woods did during negotiations. He thought he had the upper hand. And at the time he did. But now, with the prospect of heading to a club who will one of the favourites for the spoon next year, if he asks us about the possibility of staying, we'll be the ones with the upper hand.

I wonder how James Hooper rates us compared to the Dogs atm considering his big mouth a few months ago.

Unless there is a special condition inserted that allowed the club to renege and which only a fool would sign, yes the club is liable for the contract amount.

you can pick up an ex SOO prop for that, and its not a stretch to say that after this years efforts he wont be recalled next yr.

plus if he is crawling back to us, we better be putting it on him anyway
