Woods may have stayed if Ivan had come earlier

Don't tread on the toes today that are connected to the arse you might have to lick tomorrow.
Suck eggs Woods the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.
It is what it is, bye

He is going to a far better run club than ours, so I see this really as a fluff peice probably instigated by Pascoe.

Nice parting words from the big fella. Does this mean the Tigers have shut up shop for 2017?

If so, let's get all injured players to surgery so they can have a bigger Pre-season!

😱pen_mouth: I think our charge to the Finals starts today…

Pascoe made Woods say those things...?

Woods is dumber than that..

Just goes to show woods is dumber than dirt.
Probably why the media are always getting quotes from him. They know he will always have something stupid to say.

Woodsy is the type who is unlikely to get grey hairs over his job - some of us could learn from him, and those without hair could be jealous of his whatever colour.

Con job. He wants a big, happy send-off where we all shed a tear. He never wanted to leave. This is all about his image. BS, spin and BS. Pfft.

Asked if Cleary had been appointed sooner would it have convinced him to stay at the Tigers, the Bulldogs-bound Woods said: "Probably, you know.

So clearly, the decision was made some time ago and you felt the need to drag it out?

This is after weeks of claiming on 360 that he had not made a decision, yet we all knew. When you distance yourself from the club like he did, you make yourself obvious. It's sad that when the club released the statement saying that they had pulled Moses contract and that Woods and Tedesco were the priorities, we all knew even then both were gone. Woods was happy to sit back and let the club cop it from all angles. Now he sees the Dogs have nothing going for them and he suddenly wants to sing like a canary. He's probably also filthy that he and Tedesco were supposed to go to the Dogs as a package and Tedesco did a runner at the last minute and left him stranded. Someone needs to stop cutting onions around me cos my eyes are watering.

well he finally admits that he had signed with the Bulldogs well before Cleary got here. This is what I'll remember of him, his dishonesty. If he had just come out and said that he had already agreed to the Bulldogs everything would be fine.

Anyway it's all done and dusted now. Next year he'll be just another Bulldog's player.

The best part of the article was Woods confirming how good Cleary is as a coach and man manager.

Well thank god Ivan didn't come earlier. After watching Woods in this year's state of origin series, I am more convinced than ever that he is very overrated. Whilst he is still a decent player at club level, the bulldogs are paying overs for a forward with a reputation that exceeds his actual on field contribution. He's a stats fraud. Plenty of metres, with plenty of soft hitups and slow play the balls.

Absolutely! People death riding Canterbury (and Woods) for next season are in for a shock. There is no way in hell they will have 2 bad seasons in a row! They never have in the modern era and they never will. Much like the Manly club, they just have that winning culture that refuses to stay down for long.
