Worst back row in the NRL

I repeat what I said many times on this subject.
Play Lucy and Garner as game opening back rowers and be prepared for a loss.
Back row and lock are our club great weakness and we won’t be anywhere near the top side until that issue is addressed.

I thought the same lazy think not.the issue is players are not pushing up around him .

Didn't the pom say we're chasing a big game player, 2nd row forward.

I guess it's much needed.

Seyfarth is an absolute gun.
He's always involved.
High energy, passionate.

Did anyone see when he said something to Gutho when he was laying down and it upset Moses?

Might’ve been another Kikau like spray.

Seyfarth looks like he cares about the result. That’s so evident because we rarely see it from our team..

It's refreshing.

Douihei the same.
Farah, in recent years.

Love it.
Passion.

I reckon my boy Twal displays much more passion. Doesn’t necessarily have the skill levels and this is where we fall short, imo.

People paying out Garner when he’s injured

LL’s been cooked for several weeks now. Brotherly love...

What was Garners excuse when he took a carry got driven back and threw the ball away ? Wasn’t hurt then. Was he even hurt?

Garner has been good for the most part of the season but today we got bashed ..
I believe Lucy plays too many minutes and should have a spell on the bench but that comes down to poor coaching

Joffa has been a dud buy imo

Not worth slitting your wrists over it .

No self harm happening. Just can’t see how our dud back row seem to always escape blame on here.

Gotta watch the game when Parra have the ball to see it.

The ‘team next week’ thread will have the same 11,12,13 mentioned. Garner is always last off the deck then shuffles back like a sloth. Does my head in.

I thought he was defensively lazy. Runs metres arent everything. Normally i rate him tho.

17 hitups for 160 metres is not lazy. Came under fire in defence but our right side folded today because Walters kept getting bumped off.

Blore will be great for us...

Seyfarth is already showing what he will add going forward...

The big issue are the starters.

Garner runs some nice lines...but that is it. Poor D, no dirty hit ups, goes missing, rarely even overpowers small backs when isolated on them. He is depth backrow...nothing more.

And...the one no one seems to want to talk about here...LL.

He could be a great 50 min player...25 / 25.

But he is a liability with too many errors. Six missed tackles today...poor reads...nowhere near mobile enough. His edge is top 3 worst in the NRL defensively, and a lot of it is because of his errors.

Sensible post, i like Garner runs great lines but is lightweight

Lucy definitely needs a spell. 60min back rower for me. I did notice him moving around looking for the ball a bit which was good to see

Runs great lines. When there is nobody in front of him maybe. Took a hit up today, seen two forwards in front of him, propped and stepped left straight into Dylan Brown at first marker, who smashed him. Turn it up he’s not tough enough to play first grade.

Garner is a poor mans Angus Crichton. Has some speed and runs some good lines, but does not have the size to do any dirty work.

In defence he has a great technique when set and attackers are running at him. When he is off balance he is an arm grabber.

The problem is that we have absolutely no depth or competition for those positions.

I’m talking about in D. That’s where we need some impact.

Because we’ve beat up on 3 injury or origin ravaged teams?

Seriously, the Bulldogs are the worst team I have ever seen, they try hard they just have nothing.

Agree with you about both.
LL is our off the bench impact player.
Garner ….. well not really what we need at any level.
That leaves us with a great big nothing and that’s including a lock forward. Big O is ok as Prop but not what we need at lock. Blore and Seyfarth are good value, young and great back up on current standing.

They can’t score points, that’s their issue. I’m talking about a lack of forwards who intimidate people. When Twal and Seyfarth are your best it’s a concern. Hetherington beat up on us last year.
