Would you drop BJ?

BJ would be in my team every week.

His brother copped a high shot and he gave one back.

We've missed a bit of aggression for a very long time.

I love aggression as much as anyone else but there’s a time and place to give one back ...
BJ is a knucklehead

I hear what you're saying, but it's little things like this that build a culture.

You can guarantee that next time one of our blokes cops a cheap shot, one of his team mates will be looking to square the ledger.

This is how winning teams are built.

I could get it if the payback was on Kikau or Tamou but the 70lb fullback not so much...

We don't have to drop him..he's taken that option all by himself..

Edwards does have a punchable head though ..
It’s good to see we’re mixing it with the better teams but we are running out of troops .

That aggression would have been put to better use barging over for a try, that would have hurt the Panthers more than that love tap on Edwards.

I'd still pick him if he wasn't suspended for his stupidity.

Madge will be into him all week and he knows he let the team down.

He will have something to prove

No way. I can't wait till he gets back.
I'd also give Packer one more chance. I believe we need some mongrel in our side. We have played way to nice over the years and it's gotten us nowhere.

Packer and Leilua’s recent displays of aggression haven’t really done us many favours.

Yeah, not whacking Kikau is the bit he got wrong,

Whilst Joey can do terribly dumb things he's also capable of absolutely terrorising opposing teams. He's done it to us plenty of times. I'd persevere with him but give whomever is captain instructions to haul him off immediately in any situations like the one involving his brother on Saturday night. Won't eliminate occasional blow-ups but might help avoid the highly emotional ones at least.

Dumb play and will get at least a month, but I am not hearing anything about the high shoulder charge to the head on McIntrye that did not even get a penalty. Our players were totally frustrated by the abysmal ref

That is the problem he is looking at 4-6 weeks

2 weeks tops

Nah mate ...hitting a bloke who doesn't have the ball with a closed fist ...isn't good

It was hardly a closed fist incident. You paint the picture of a cowards punch if someone hadn’t seen the footage. It was a good ol’ fashioned clothesline, Hacksaw Jim Duggan style.

He is an absolute lunatic and that sort of stuff is just selfish and inexcusable. I love his aggression and his tough runs but Jesus Christ learn to channel it. I would wager he has one of the lowest IQ’s in rugby league and that’s saying something.

Mate don't put words in my mouth

I said his fist was closed when he made contact with him

With the greatest of respect I have to disagree.

I used to play footy (both union and league) at a pretty high level and any player that would get like BJ, we would niggle from the start to try and get penalties and get them sent off.

First grade NRL players aren't intimidated by BJ's antics because it was a one man crusade.

Sure, stand up for yourself and your team mates, but don't give away penalties and get sent off because you can't control yourself.

As a team mate, I'd be furious with Joey for doing that.

Now we've got Jennings to look forward to for the next 4 weeks because of something that occurred with 2 minutes left.

Someone already said it, but that could cost us our season.

Thankfully Jennings is still out so will probably be Hoffman or Bradley taking his place.

Never seen these blokes play, but they'd be in the 17 already if they were NRL ready. Massive set back given our lack of depth. I wish Corey Thompson was still around. 3. Talau, 5. Thompson...

Yes we need him back, he is worth persisting with. I'd rather a player who has a go and has the odd brain explosion over another plodder who doesn't offer anything.

Yes it was selfish, dumb and made an improbable victory impossible but I'll back Madge to work on that with him. I like how the team is building and BJ is a part of that.

If BJ was truly serious he would have smacked Kikau, Tetevano or Koroisau and he would have done effecting a tackle. He does that and most of us are probably backing him. Dropping the fullback off the ball helped nothing and was weak.

It annoys me cos we’ve never had a player whose committed such a low act. I can’t even remember the longest suspension one of our players have served. Wouldn’t be more than a few weeks. So the fact this thug has brought this stuff to the club, I find it highly annoying. And I know someone will respond with you can’t get far with cleanskins, you need some mongrel, what good is mongrel when you are sitting on the sidelines for a month. He’s a good player on his day, but personally he’s a goose who I have little respect for. To go into business for himself like he did, and throw the backline into chaos, he deserves a back hander from the supporters more than Cleary does.

He's just an idiot, and he always has been. We tried so damn hard on Saturday night and I feel like his stupidity not only hampered our chance to win but also overshadowed everyone's effort. He is a good player on his day, no doubt, but crikey he can be an enormous liability too.

Really? This rates above Hopoate's amateur on-field proctology exams in your book?
