WT Ownership, The Board & Senior Management - MEGA Thread

We’d just worked ourselves to a position of beating Penrith (premiers), Stg and NQL (66-18) in a month when club management dropped a nuke on our season.
No they did not!

Sheens was loosing games, I think 3 in a row and we were coming either last or at least last 3.

There was no "success" there, yes we won a small number of games and seemed to gain a little traction. Then we loose 3 in a row and looked soft.

Any other club Sheens would have been fired already. Switching a recruitment manager makes sense. Particularly a guy like Fulton who the Manly players seem to love and gives us access to a very strong talent pool.

Firing McDonnell for Fulton should not have disrupted our season.

truth or not??? probably bs,due 2 lack of posts, anyhow, seen a post gleemed from ???tik tok twitter, saying Hapless fired a shot at Alan Jones at the launch of d NRLW team.said he hasen/t bn relevant since 82

I think Manly are more than happy to see the back of the Fultons. They have traded off their name and their fathers friends in the media as if they have a devine right to have influence over Manly. Been here five minutes and already Peter Peters is having his say about dealings with Fulton and Wests Tigers..
If this doesn't sink Pascoe I don't know what will.

Tell me this isn't common sense.

Given the internal rumblings reportedly going on between Fulton, Sheens, Benji & Pascoe, wouldn't it make sense to immediately get all parties in a room to air their grievances and for the CEO (who supposedly sits above all in the hierarchy) to direct this is the chain-of-command, responsibility of each party, who reports-to-who & who owns the final decision in various football & recruitment matters. Stay in the room until there is acceptance and buy-in from all parties. If there isn't, someone has to be moved out.

If that cannot happen, there is even greater weight for Pascoe to be removed.

Tell me this isn't common sense.
I think you underestimate the egos involved in rugba leeg.

This is the last straw !
The CEO has apparently called a crisis meeting tomorrow between Benji and Fulton
First why did you appoint Fulton without telling the coaching staff
Second how come the media know all about it . Assume Justin told them .
Third .Why is Sheens ( the coach ) not invited
We are a laughing stock .
I'm simply reporting what Anasta just said on fox footy
He said its really difficult to keep hearing all stuff and can hardly imagine how difficult it must be for Tigers fans .
Please just go and do the books or just go !!!

Another one for your list of Pascoe’s greatest hits @BAGNF05.

The sad part is, this wouldn’t even make his top 10 stuff ups.

For mine the pressure is being exerted in the wrong place !

Any compent board and Chairman would not be directing Pascoe to instruct Benji and Fulton to kiss and make up, They would be Firing Pascoe and Fulton !

This leaking / Instability / player manager BS and unhappy players has hit fever pitch since Fulton arrived, he has delivered nothing and is now siding with player managers against his employers!

Whether Benji and Sheen's are the right solution is for a competent CEO to decide.

The only way this ends is if and when Wests Ashfeilds gets off its ass and puts this shit show to an end !

Because as we have seen The mutual survivor assurance society that is our board , ceo and Chairman are not going to sack themselves !!!

The board, Pascoe, and Lee all responsible for the constant failure of the club but it appears this is how they also protect each other- self interest before the club.
I hate the influence managers have within the system of the NRL but can understand why they wouldn't want players anywhere near the club under its current leadership.

Firing McDonnell for Fulton should not have disrupted our season.

I'll add another point. This appointment shouldn't have led to this drama especially when it appears the appointment was made because our coaching team are struggling to recruit players. It should have been a positive step forward.

Hence sack the coaching staff and Pascoe since Pascoe facilitated and I assume recommended the decision.

It wasn’t that in isolation.
The season was already derailed by then due to poor coaching and underperforming players.
However…management deciding to run interference on the football department has ensured that what glimmer of spark had been lit by the good month of footy we played has been extinguished.
They stepped in and did Tim’s job for him…poorly.

It's less than one season of a long term plan that they - Pascoe/ Lee /Board - backed Sheens and Benji to implement and have already railroaded them by bringing in Fulton.
I'm not sure Sheens and Benji are the solution but it was Pascoe and Lee that backed them in - evidence that they are clutching and the very reason why no one is buying what they are selling.

Obviously these 2 did their due diligence on Fulton. If there is disagreement he goes running to media mouthpieces to run stories.

You couldn’t come up with this shit is you were a journalist writing fiction for the sole purpose of embarrassing the club.
As far as I can tell, the due diligence carried out by Lee, the thorough legal eagle, consisted of him ringing Ray Hadley to get advice on bringing in Scott Fulton.

Of course Hadley being best mates with Bobby Fulton and a close family friend would have given Scott Fulton a glowing endorsement.

The mind boggling part, and correct me if I heard wrong, on the ask the boss episode featuring Lee and Pascoe did they both say that they didn't know Scott Fulton or have any dealings with him prior to bringing him on board and did all this without consulting anyone from the football department as to his suitability or their thoughts on the matter.

Like I said, mind boggling and I'm not sure if I would want someone like Lee representing me on some legal matter if that is the way he goes about doing things.
