A few people have mentioned Pole as one the club is very excited about. Played a couple of KOE games off the bench this year.

Yes this kid looks good - played SG Ball for Balmain, pretty sure we got him up from Melbourne before that. He then stepped up to play a few games in Flegg and was handling his own at that level.

He's not a tall front rower but he is powerful - not as big as Mavoni Tuifua, but he's still growing. I would say he has a better motor than Mavoni though. Would expect him to be starting in Flegg next year.

I know Tannous was highly rated pre season but I think he got injured. Any comments on him?

He's got potential for sure - moves well, quick and good on his feet - he's a 6 but did his ACL in a trial I think - should be right to be running at the start of pre-season.

I know someone who’s friends with his parents. He did the pre season with first grade and was one of the fittest at the club. They were trialing him in multiple positions including the halves, hooker and even fullback. We’re apparently very impressed with him, injury was horrible timing.

He's more Stefano than Mavoni. He would form a very strong front row partnership with the schoolboy from QLD - Herman Tofaeono (Keebra). And queenslanders on here going to wacth the games or are they being live streamed? Think games are on this week. We've got boys at Keebra and Marsden that we currently know of.

A Vauxhall has a better motor than Mavoni, according to his rep on here.

Yeah he was playing hooker in the trial when he got injured.

Looked the goods too, it was very unfortunate.

For the record I was hoping the club would keep Mavoni as he trained with FG up to Christmas last season. The kid can cause some damage but just runs out of gas too quickly. I'll be interested to see how he goes at the Bulldogs, but his fitness will have to come along noticeably to make that next step.

It was a surprise that we lost him.

Against the very good Illawarra Flegg side Pole and Fonua came on and changed the momentum of the game. Pole and Fonua hit the ball up hard, Pole having a great step for a prop. Mavoni can be devastating with the ball but gaps appear in the middle the longer he stays onfield.

Not really. A big guy that bullies smaller rivals when younger but then struggles when up against opponents of the same size and quality. His defence was not good. But if we had a lot of possession then he doesn't have to tackle much. If you struggle so much at Flegg level then you'll get targeted at higher levels

QLD government has just approved resettlement/residency status for 2000 people from NSW. Wonder if any of our good juniors have been tempted to head north to play some footy?

What became of the Johns bloke who had few pre-season games for us?

Was looking good, decided to call it quits and become a police officer i think

Get him back. He can arrest a few for impersonating footballers. If that's not a crime then it should be.

Man we're going to be in a good spot next year if we can upgrade a few of these guys rolling off...

Mbye is going to be the only overpaid player left... but thankfully he still does provide us with some value, unlike packer.

Mikaele needs to have a big year this year. Was off the boil big time last season.

if we get Hastings and J Simpkin develops well we can use Hastings at hooker Brooks at 7 and keep AD at 6
that would mean no need for Liddle
or
Don't take club option on Joey L
AD in centres
Hasting 6 Brooks 7
keep Liddle and Simpkin

Seems like the Leilua bros are instrinsically linked... We either have both or neither.

Neither if that’s what the cost is of getting rid of Joey is. Luciano is starting to take on that hot and cold performance of his brother whilst also taking defensive lessons off him, that’s not good.

And if the current talk about Jordan Hill is on the money, disturbingly we are still slow to react?
