That's a lot of 23's. Thankfully they are working on extending Stef's contract.

at this point, I'd say Doueihi, Stef and Daine have to be the priorities. Kepaoa, Liddle, Blore, Gildart Seyfarth, Simpkins and Hastings we need to wait and see. Bray Guyan should be ready to become our 13 in a couple of years so that should mean we won't have to extend Peach. Brooksy probably needs a fresh start.

Guyan looks like a first grader already. Not sure how old he is but he's got the frame of an NRL lock. Hopefully he can spend the next year or two developing his ball playing. Hopefully by then we have the luxury of putting Peachey at 14 and getting to make a run the GF

long way off the finished product but the pedigree is there. needs to have a good year in Flegg and hopefully make his way into Cup sometime next year. from there I think you'd see him push for a debut in mid 2023.

edit: Justin Matamua will be gunning for the 13 jersey in a couple of years time too. he is an absolute gun. our back row is in good hands with Blore, Papali'i, Tuilagi, Tumeth, O'Kane, Saukuru, Simpkins, Matamua and Guyan all on our books.

Yeah wouldn't be surprised if we moved both Luch and Garner on next year to be honest


We are still lacking a bit of experience. Not saying Luch and Garner should be kept long term for that reason.

but you're right. we are. Papa will be brilliant for us but he's only 23 and will only hit the 100 game mark next season. if we can't agree on a price for Luch I'd be inclined to see if Tariq Sims would come on board for a couple of years so we don't burn the kids out too early.

Would have liked us to have signed Dale Finucane or Hodgson as an old hard-head. Understand why we didn’t pay full freight for Hodgson or all 4 years Finucane wanted. If the numbers and length of the deal stack up Sims could bring that experience.

We have some large and talented young forwards in Seyfarth., Bore, utolkamano, Musgrave, and Simkins and others that under a mentor like Bennet, Bellamy or Dean Pay could be world beaters. A specialist forward coach would not go astray.

I am really not sure there is any point persisting with Luke Brooks. If I was on the recruitment team I would be looking at Jamal Fogarty.

Honestly with Ash Taylor and the halves on the market. Well we could really clean up for low value. Yes problems but IMHO we can do better.

Tariq Sims has played with James Tamou. I could see how this would work but...we have this history of recruiting forwards at the end of their career and it just dont work well. I like Tariq, but I cam see this not going well.

Ill get flamed for this, but I would do a Newcastle to Newcastle.
