Sue was one of my picks as an up and comer over the past few years. I kept hoping that he would eliminate the silly penalties, dropped balls and lapses of concentration.

I just haven't seen significant improvement. Yes he is big and runs hard, but it's just not enough.

Santi, Buchanon, Liolevave, Funaki, Cherrington and probably Fine and Naiqama all unlucky and just miss out. Hopefully we stay as injury free as possible this season (fingers crossed). Will be keen to watch the development of Martin and Seve in the 20s also. Big wraps on them and who knows, they may push for an NRL debut at a latter stage during the season too.

Balmain Boy,I chose not to put in a team at first,but was asked my thoughts….because apparently if you leave it up to JT as preferred you get into trouble...

So this is my team and I will stick with it,you pick what you want....

I'm one of those ones Simon. I'm not sure why I'm not sold on him, It isn't that I think he's no good , it's probably more that he seems to be just another good player , like a lot we've had. But I've never seen him really stand out.
I'll admit that I've never seen him in a live game , only on tv. So maybe im missing something that others can see.

Honestly I have no idea. I don't know how anyone could have much idea given we have not yet played trials and have some hole to fill.

I would be looking at options to replace Lawrence. Whether there are any viable ones straight up its hard to know.

The back row all 3 spots are up for grabs. I have more faith in Sirro then most here. I think given a god run of fitness he will develop into a very good player of rep quality in time. Obviously he has had another bad pre season so he is behind the eight ball.

We dont have a true utility with Austin gone which i think will hurt us from our bench.
Drinkwater is out and out Half and will not offer that utility value. Fine could provide utility with 2nd row and centre/wing while i am sure we will see Lodge, Liolevave and Funaki in 1st grade at some point.

All good Gabor, you're entitled to your opinion, especially in a thread which specifically asks forumites for their opinions.

Can't assume anything until the trials. Who gets gametime will speak volumes. With so many players coming back from injury who need to gain match fitness, our trials should be full strength, not overly experimental.

BalmainBoy,it was just my selection based on everyone being fit to start for rd 1…...

I picked Ava at lock because if he gets good coaching I think he could play lock,it is not beyond him....

Naigama was my selection on the bench because we don't have a decent back to replace injuries if they happen,I don't want to play second rowers in the centres or wing,we've been through that...

Iam not an expert on picking teams,it was just my opinion as is others to pick their lineup..

Finally,I think Lawrence and Richards will be on the same side,it's just a feeling I got,nothing substantial though...

Tigersmurf was onto my line of thinking....
