I thought AD did well yesterday - agreed, there were a couple of slow carries, but also a couple when he beat a few guys and made some yards. His run metre stats were good and he looked enthusiastic for the most part. He also did well under the high ball, and I would be much more nervous with any one of Mbye, Talau or Tepaoa at the back.
Many on here are ranting on about how bad our attack is (generally blaming our halves for everything) - but in my mind it's our poor D that is at the root of the problems. I believe that we have scored more points in attack this season than any other in the history of WTs, certainly enough to win the majority of the games we have lost, but we are leaking too many points. Dogs scored 28 against us - have they done that against any top 8 team? Our marker D is really poor and we are too slow to get set around the ruck on repeated tackles, our line speed is non existent and our kick pressure also. Our middles are often spent and struggle to hold out repeated sets and some such as Packer and Huth are just too slow (both laterally and to get off the ground and back into position). When you couple this dynamic with mistakes and poor ball control, we just simply aren't able to compete with the better squads.
I would put Packer back to the bench to come on for 2 x 15 min spells replacing him with Mikaele. Drop Huth for Twal and bring Blore back onto the bench.
This week (until Grant is back) pack should be Aloiai Liddle Mikaele Garner Luc Twal and Bench - Packer, Blore, McIntyre and probably Reynolds (though once Grant is back Liddle takes his spot).

Or on the other side of the foot Robinson doesn’t really see us as a danger game and can afford to rest a few niggles and have them fit and firing for the last 3-4 rounds leading into finals

Agreed our defence is terrible and seems to be getting worse by the week. As for our attack, its pretty good but most teams under the new rules are attacking better

I totally agree with you there about seyfarth .. i watched this guy get smashed, picked up and dumped and force backwards many times yesterday .. is he really the 103kgs that he is reported .. ??

AD will have to do at the back this year, no one there is really any better than him. Mbye has his strengths there but he's in no way reliable under the high ball.
