Harry Grant could return next week, recovery from his surgery is going very well apparently

I wouldn’t play him again
What’s the point ?

Makes our team stronger? We are still a chance of finals. Him and Liddle can share the role, Liddle isn’t playing 80 and can learn off Harry too.

Nah
We need to learn to hate him ...
He ain’t hanging around .

Liddle is doing fine and has a better passing game than Grant anyway

Liddle played well but that last line is rubbish.

BS

Throws them longer , further and faster

Nup.

Harry Grant is a runner and distributor, Liddle is a playmaking hooker. Definitely passes better than Grant

Agree to disagree. I like Liddle and thought he played great but Grant's passing from dummy half is top shelf.

Spec savers ?

I'm wearing a pair of glasses I bought from specsavers now funnily enough!

I think you have that back to front. Lids passes off the deck a lot. And runs at every opportunity.
Harry does the Farah/smith thing. And controls the team. Ie. playing in a dinner suit. He’s young and enthusiastic atm , but that will change as he gets older and learns to play within himself.
Simpkins, from what Ive seen is more of Isaac Luke , brandon smith type player.
Each quality in their own way.

Grant is very much comparable to Farah. Likes to dart out of dummy half, carry the ball in one hand and make plays. Liddle passes off the deck like you said, and his passes are so crisp, he's always creating space for his halves. Both have their positives, and that's why it would be great to see Grant playing 60 mins doing what he does, then have Liddle come on for the last 20 and giving the halves the time and space they need

What Grant does very well, besides knowing when to run, is he carries the ball out in front of him and passes at the adv line very flat - the pass always looks backwards because of where his hands are. His other great advantage is his motor - the guy covers a lot of ground and pushes himself hard. Harry is a true competitor and lifts players with his effort.

huh? I’m confused! you’re chopping and changing all over the place . Weren’t we discussing your description of both players and how you basically described the opposite of what each actually is ?

Am I wrong in saying that Grant likes to hold onto the ball more and execute short flat passes whereas Liddle focuses on technique in his passing to create space for halves? Perhaps playmaking is the wrong term for Liddle... but I do maintain his passing and technique is superior to Grants, and Grant is superior in his own ways to Liddle.

I think that’s where the sticking point is. What you’re describing isn’t playmaking , not in the sense that it’s best known . I think you mean he manipulates the ruck , better than grant. He sends markers left with bodyfaints ,then passes right for example.
Grant gets out and runs plays out side of the ruck .

douie the slooowie cost us so many games. not many obvious mistakes but sloth like full back still cost us many games. with corey thompson in full back we might have won more

It was interesting watching Harry at the start of the season to when he got injured. I thought he was slightly less effective. Teams were probably working him out a bit and possibly some level of fatigue given it was his first season.

Personally, I think Jacob and Harry compliment each other well, Jacob is quicker and can break up defences with his running game and Harry’s engagement of markers to put our forwards on the front foot is impressive for his age.

Safer hands than corey.... and he is carrying a leg injury

Are you blaming all our last games on Doueihi?
