Its very difficult to pick a team atm, if we had a good fullback that provided the excellent support of Gutherson or Tedesco you could put Moses at left centre, Talau to left wing and it would be a much better balanced back line.

Huth's lateral movement in defence is poor, he is a liability whenever the forwards are spread thin.
Benji tries hard but usually offers more rocks than diamonds
Reynolds does not have the skills required to play as a half, if he could pass and tackle he would be a good 9.
Seyfarth plays like he weighs 50kg

Ok so we are playing premiers next week .... and we are at long odds to beat the roosters.
I suggest that Madge gets the tape of ESPN 30:30 doco .... with the name 42 to 1 .... and sits the squad to watch it.
It’s a one hour story of Buster Douglas a heavyweight fighter who had talent but just could not get the motivation or his act in ring right in big fights and was ultimately labelled a quitter by commentators.
He was selected as a easy opponent in Iron Mike Tyson’s lead up fight with big money Holyfield fight later that year.
He was 42:1 odds outsider with Las Vegas bookies but won the fight on 10th round knockout against an unbeaten champion.
It’s a feel good story that this team could take a lot from.
We have a horror 6 rounds ahead of us and I’m not saying we will make it but boy anything is possible when you see sport achievements from the so called underdogs of our time.

You mean one full offseason.
He didn’t sign with us till mid January.
Definitely missed the Madge boot camp. Next year will be interesting considering comp finishes in November this year.

There is no need to play Benji anymore, poor old Rowdy got the chop and he was in better form than Benji.
Time to plan for next year, get AJ in there at 1, 4 or 5, get Grub in there, maybe even Madden, lets work on some combo's for next year, and the forwards hopefully get a few back next week so we can drop some of todays players

Let's wait till this season is gone first.

If we get beat next week - try a few things the week after.

And we don't need to try all these things in the one game.

Someone above me stole my thunder, but I threw it out there in the live game thread of trying out Talau at fullback. I’m curious to see how he’d go. I think we need to face the fact AD is not the answer at fullback long term. I think he’s going to move to 6 at some point. That cutout pass that he throws to Noffa is a pearler btw.

I think Talau is as slow as AD , never hits the line with any speed . He never seems to want to find a gap just runs in to the 1st defender .

Disagree. He's definitely quicker and always hits the line hard. Take a look at most of his carries, they're dirty carries when he has a wall of people in front of him. Better to hit them head on than crab sideways and get driven.

Would be worth a go, he played 5/8 in his junior years so I’m sure he has the ball playing ability
