Rankin is serving a purpose, but he is not a winger. It's hard to say what Taylor will do but judging by previous selections he likes to keep like for like so i'm going to go with;

Tedesco
Nofo
Peni
Naiqama
Rankin
Moses
Brooks
Woods
Farah
Grant
Lawrence
Halatau
Sue
–----------
Cherri
Alioli
Ava
Lovett

*Disclaimer - This is what I think Taylor will do, not what I would run with

Would also start Ava with a licence to rip in for 20-25min then bring Grant on to steady that middle period that's costing us ATM…

it's certainly an area that needs some serious work, you'd think it would have something to do with the interchanges, so maybe a more experienced player coming on would be better

Pull Grant out of the opening exchanges and you weaken the first 20 minutes to strengthen the second 20 minutes, you end up with the same result.I really do not think we can afford the luxury of two number nines and third is crazy. Fill your bench with big fast and strong forwards

Well we *could* end up with the same result, but in any event, it's something they really need to look at because we're leaking points badly during this middle period.

my take

1\. Teddy
2\. Nofo
3\. Kev
4\. Simona (Fine)
5\. JAC
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Seumanufagai
11\. Lawrence
12\. Aloiai
13\. Sue

14\. Grant
15\. Edwards
16\. Graham/Griffin
17\. MCK

I don't want to weaken our opening stint or our finishes to matches which have been generally good, but something needs to be done to arrest our demise between the thirty and sixty odd minute marks.

The team cannot afford to continue losing the middle during this period for what could be the sixth week in a row if it occurs against the Knights. For mine the season so far has shown that we need two of Sue, Woods and Grant on the field together as much as possible, if not at all times.

.
I put this down to the coach his selections and use of the bench ,the use of the bench is probable one of the most important aspects of the modern game …get this right your on the way to victory .
The thinking coaches get this right ,Talyors decisions over the last 3 weeks with the use of the bench has been poor ..I find it hard to believe he is so inept at this aspect of the game ,but I suppose this is where the winning coaches shine and the losing coaches can look for other work.

I don't see any need for changes. We're having a good run without injury, only minor things at present, so why change now and disrupt combinations when we will be forced to make changes soon enough i.e. when injuries really do hit and Origin comes around. One simple stat stands out to me in the first 5 rounds and that's when we have made less tackles than the opposition we've won, when we've had to make more we've lost. We have the points in us to win games but have to cut out ill discipline, errors and the odd poor decision which is putting too much pressure on the defence. In these early rounds when the weather is warm the more ball the opposition has the harder it is to defend.
We're probably not making enough metres in the forwards but who will come in and improve that? In my mind the only way to improve that is to improve those areas I've mentioned. Maybe Edwards might help with defence in the middle if they have to do plenty of it but he's not going to help make more metres, and could he play long minutes, if needed, at this level just yet? I know most would disagree but I'd prefer the same team to run out this week.

Carrying a non tackling hooker on the bench when we also have some ordinary defenders in the main thirteen is suicide,
And especially when he may only get a few minutes on the field, that's lunacy, and a totally wasted spot on the bench .
I know some people want to keep Taylor for the complete year, but there is no way to defend selections like some of his
