Your right mtd, Nofo and Brien haven't had a good run with the firsts. But both have been excellent on the right side of the field in NSW Cup over the last two games, probably in the best few players on the field. Just seems to me that our right edge (utai and ayshford) in firsts is a big problem defensively and in attack. It's unlikely Potter would go with such an inexperienced side first up, but at least we've got players in form putting pressure on these guys.

Not one backrower impressed me last night.

BMM is the most talented backrower we have…...he must come in and be persisted with. His size, raw power and mobility is desperately needed and the sooner he is thrown the responsibility of starting the better. Im prepared top have him on the bench as long as he plays decent minutes, but the view must be taken to turning this guy into an elite backrower.

Start Game with

1\. Tedesco
2\. Koribete
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawerence
5\. Big T
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller (needs to improve his long kicking game)
8\. Buchanan (Woods if available)
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. BMM
12\. Anasta
13\. Blair

14\. Bell/Buchanan
15\. Pettybourne
16\. Fulton
17\. Moltzen

1\. Tedesco
2\. Koroibete
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Mr T
6\. Benji
7\. Miller
8\. Galloway
9\. Farah
10\. Buchanan
11\. Anasta
12\. Thompson
13\. Blair

14\. Pettybourne
15\. BMM
16\. Bell
17\. Fulton

I've gone for Mr T on the right wing over Utai as he's bigger, faster, stronger, and less of a target as far as cross field bombs go. Yes he's raw but I think he's better suited on the wing rather than centre and he's effectively another forward hitting it up out of the Tigers half, plus if he gets one on one with players he's going to prove just as difficult to stop as Utai, if not moreso..bagged a couple of tries in NSW Cup yesterday so he's dangerous if given room to move. I heard read some here that Nofoaluma hurt his knee, otherwise I'd give him a run.

Buchanan is good enough to get a starting gig IMO, plus I'm assuming Woods will be kept on ice until 100%, so I expect him to be back for round 2 or 3\. I thought the Dolphin was better against the Roosters than he was against the Eels and I think he could come on in leaps and bounds this year. Like Woods he has an excellent motor and gets through a lot of work.

I'd sub Pettybourne for Anasta on the left edge and I'd sub BMM for Thompson on the right edge so he can run off Benji and Fults can replace Blair at the same time as Anasta so it negates having Anasta and Fults on the field together.

GOod team but I would have Brien in for Ayshford but damn your team looks strong.

I thought Anasta was good last night, put on some strong tackles.

BMM has to be in the top 17 in the club or we have wasted his talent. Blair/Pettybourne are too much like Heighington….honest but limited. One of them only for mine in the team for rd 1\. I would play Utai as an impact forward off the bench. At least we know he's going to make meters and if he breaks the line, has some pace. No place for Moltzen, unless Tedesco is still not 100%. Even then, I would prefer TIm Simona over Moltzen at fullback.

Good team Willow..well thought out

Just mention a couple of things

1\. Buchannan played NYC last year same as our 2 props in the State Cup team. From what I have seen from both of them in 2 games and all last year they have more explosive power and have some real mongrel about them so they need to be considered. I also think that the reason for their attitude has a lot to do with the guidance they were given by Payten last year.
2\. Woods was limping on Saturday night so may take more time to recover 100% than a normal 'grease & oil change" and maybe round 3 at the earliest.
3\. I reckon Utai should be used off the bench as he can provide the go forward we need after the softening up period and can cover if an outside back gets injured,
4\. Would only agree on BMM if he is made to play most of his time up the middle and not hang around waiting for a moment of Benji brilliance to put him through a hole.Geez he had some impact on Saturday nite when he took them on up the middle.
5\. If Nofu is injured then go with Mr T. For me Nofu is built like Utai and will give the same effect but is very good and confident under the high ball due to playing FB in the past.

6\. Would start Bell as he can hit hard and often from the start and against the knights we need to at least meet them in the first 20 minutes physically and mentally to have a chance.

i pretty much agree,i thought our starters were pathetic.
but when pettybourne came on i felt the tempo increased and for those 30mins we looked better than the roosters.we consistently were in their 20 while they put little pressure on us.

Bench:

Our biggest possible pack to lay the platform for the backs and and we may have a chance
