There is no way in the world that I support women bashers, rapists, kiddie fondlers, etc.
However, to put my thoughts into words will send some of you sideways.
And I can hear the forum howls starting already.
Cleaning up the game is the NRL's job. Not 1 club, not 3 clubs. Every club ! The whole NRL.
If only 1 club takes a stand, they might appease the offended, but they fall behind in the comp.
Otherwise, we end up like the cricket team. The sport suffers, but the hand wringers( most of whom have never seen a cricket bat, ball or game) get their way.
Like Cultured Bogan said . . . scratch the no DH policy, but women and kid abusers are the scum of the earth.
If this guy is a repeat offender, probs get rid of him. But if it's his first offence, and there is hope for mending his head . . . if we don't do it, Brisbane, Roosters, Penrith, Sharks, or dare I say, Souths will gladly rehab him, a la Lodge, et al.

Apparently last year, the whole reason Souths got rid of Musgrove and didn't play him in first grade was because he was charged with domestic violence against his girlfriend.

Bottom line the NRL needs to rub offenders outta the game.
If your found guilty your gone.

Let's keep Musgrove, to be fair I couldn't care a less about his acts off the field as long as he performs on the field. One more strike and he's out.

That’s a prime example of what’s wrong with people today.
“Couldn’t care less as long as he performs on the field”.
Seriously you couldn’t care less if a woman is publicly harassed as long as he plays well?
That’s pretty much summed up what’s wrong with the mentality towards winning football games.
I want to see the Tigers become successful and win comps as much as the next bloke, but Not at the expense of people’s well-being.

Next time could too late.

Well posted. I’m with you.

Honest question because I am curious. Would you be saying the same if it was you Musgrove had assaulted instead of the girl (allegedly)?

I’m curious also?

Club should sack him and sign someone decent….
first signing by Madge and he turns out to be a douche....

I always thought that a person was innocent until proven guilty.

I guess a lot of people on this forum have never heard of this concept.

I cant help but think that the club and Madge already knew of this which makes me wonder why they signed him in the first place.

It happened this week.

Ok then it just seems like bad luck on our behalf.

No it wasn't bad luck for Wests Tigers, He faced court in September 2018 on a similar charge and was lucky to get off with a $1000 fine and a severe warning from the judge. Wests Tigers would have been aware of that September court charge but still went ahead with his signing. Are Wests Tigers really into promoting a good culture?

That's a great post Newtown….please send it to pascoe

Let’s not jump to conclusions, we don’t Know the exact circumstances of this latest drama.

Musgrove Must go
If he is guilty that is
And that's the question
Is he guilty

The club needs to find out the truth fast and move on
We dont need disruptions in 2019 to our club and other players
Stand by him or RIP up his contract
But do it fast

Clubs need to have a DH clause in players contracts
If you are or become a DH at anytime while under contract with our club your contract can be terminated at any time if found guilty and any un paid contract amount will become null and void

The NRL needs to employ a Terminator to deal with these cases to protect the image of our game
Clubs should be allowed to make a new signing without any kind of salary cap penalty as long as it doesn't exceed the terminated contract amount
Just my opinion

Unbelievable, we're getting our club heading the in right direction and now 2 years on the trot, new players shoot themselves in the foot.

I read in the fox sports article that his contract is yet to be registered by the NRL, so we may be able to terminate him on those grounds.

Foxsports.com.au contacted the NRL who are aware of the incident, but since Musgrove’s Tigers contract is not yet registered, it’s currently not a matter for the governing body to investigate.
>
An spokesman said the NRL will wait and see what happens with the court proceedings which will take place on January 23.

Bog average player anyway, if he needs to be punted for his indiscretions then no real loss.

This!
He's not that good to worry about. Booting him won't make other teams any stronger.
No brainer for the club. Be the good guy's here.

Madge has some tough decisions to make.
I’d hate to be in his shoes right now.

I don’t think that it is a hard decision, he should be booted from the club.

It’s pretty dumb reasoning to bring his ability into it. Are you saying if he was a key player it would be okay to give him another chance?

He handed himself in yesterday.
Funny thing to do if your innocent.

I meant the fact that he knew and still signed him and now we’re calling for him to be sacked.
He should be banned from the sport completely.
I just don’t know why Madge hired him in the first place.
