Wests Tigers Coaches

Tigers seem to have great timing for things. Madge was sacked just before Origin 1. Brooks being dropped before Origin 2. Now Sheens signs as coach hours before Origin 3. Talk about stealing thunder. 😂
Don’t forget the WT coaching statement the Saturday night prior to Origin 2

Great points Jirskyr,
Totally agree that the 6 clubs you mentioned have almost become bankable Bottom 8 teams. Now that we are not a mess financially, we need a circuit breaker to lift from this unintended prejudice. Again, what happens with the coaching choice over the next couple of years is critical.
About this time 11 years ago when we were flying into a late season surge to rack up our second finals appearance in a row. Penrith were just starting to deal with a demoralising season result after riding high the previous year with all their guns clicking to almost blitz the competition.
At the time they knew 2011 wasn’t just a bad luck run and in 2012 they were going to have success again. So instead in mid 2011 they sacked their coach, blew everything up and started again from top level management to coaching structure to funding to recruitment etc.
We on the other hand treaded water for those 11 years.
The reason why I say this. I was guilty of in living in a predominantly Penrith supported region of thinking to myself at least we are not as bad as Penrith.
They were one of those 6 clubs…

Might be best he drop the suits and let Tim speak from here on in.
Wouldn't it be a cracker if Tim (having been out of the NRL for some time) is asked a question during an after game presser, has no idea what they're are talking about. 🤔
Like Tim just gives them a blank stare whilst the little monkey in his head is doing hand stands 🤣

There is absolutely zero reason for Notty to stay on as coach if our coach for the next two years is already here. Let him go back to the development role and get back to his actual job.
Besides the couple of boys that are on Dev contracts. Those that he coaches in the junior pathways are at school and not playing in any current competition other than schoolboys comp.
Really there is nothing to do there at this point of the year, it will start up again from October I’d say, so why not have him experience high pressure coaching and what is required in first grade first hand.
Much more valuable to take that back to the pathways development coaching.

I expect the press to have some fun with this referencing back to how Sheens believed he was sacked the first time at the club to be setting himself up beside them again. Whether you support the decision you can't ignore the irony.

Surely we wont just have those 2. A half and a hooker. What about Cayless ?
I’m not convinced he and Gardiner stay.
Both encouraged to come to the club by Madge, both part of the NZ National team set up. Can see both looking for other alternatives next year.

Maybe we need to look at this as a clean slate , embrace sheens and Benji and Robbie and pray to the havens that it will work , will be interesting to see if we sign any players now the sheens has come out of the closet
How many clean slates can you have with these guys.
