Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Maybe madden realises also that he isn’t that ‘Benji’ type player that the tigers will look for in the future, by that I mean the free spirited, throw caution to the wind type, and he sees himself more of a Reynolds type player that he can learn off 🤷‍♂️ And let’s face it, Reynolds is a lot closer to the end of his career… I don’t know, just a thought.
I wish the bloke well in any case.

Sky's the limit though....

Broncos is a great place for him to develop and prove himself.

Have guys like Walters, Ikin and maybe even Lockyer around showing him the way... Renno even, he's no slouch... despite his body letting him down.

IMO, albeit may be a strange move - It makes so much sense. Penrith lads are locked in and rarely miss games... Renno though, is a regular on the injury list.

Their forward back and a spine of Walsh, Mam, Madden and whoever plays 9...
I can see it working.
Smart move. If he is good enough there is a "pathway" there to play FG that is not feasible at Penrith. Broncos have all the resources and plenty of young talent. It's up to Jock now. The games when we had a crack this year he held his own with some good highlights.

No bra,

He's back up, still.

Probably get more game times at the broncos than Penrith though due to Renno being busted most of the time.
Yea i agree - although Reynolds played 20 games in the season the last 6 or so rounds he was obviously playing injured. His stats dropped off dramatically around the time they played us. Not so sure he will be the dominant player over the next 2 years of his contract.

Jock Madden, who was farewelled last Sunday and at the Kelly-Barnes Medal presentation night, will join the Broncos on a two year deal to boost their half depth (Courier Mail)

Curious to read some opinions on Xerri.

Good, decent sized centre, very fast (on the juice anyway!), but seemed like a bit of a tool to me.

I believe he'll have served his time, (so clean slate) and he'd be very cheap.

But in saying a clean slate, I think you'd have to be an absolute fool to use PEDs in this day and age (so wouldn't think about it) but interested to hear others' opinions.
I would take a punt on xerri

Like they did with Tom Deardon?

Yeah 100% I’d take 1million a year playing Japanese rugby over 400k a year traveling up and down the east coast getting belted every week but thank Christ players choose to do it it’s easily the most entertaining sport in my opinion
Yeah, it’s got a lot going for it over other sports.

Very few sports can squeeze out so much drama and excitement into 80 minutes.

It’s a bit tongue in cheek at times, it’s full throttle and there’s simply nowhere to hide.

One of my favourite plays is second phase followed by that perfect inside pass and old mate runs into a gap. Then the pursuit.

Any movement can find its way into being a knife edges opportunity.

Defence has its own features and benefits. The mighty one on one to save the game. The little ‘un bringing down Goliath.

And allow me a few indulgences, Jwh pulling off 3 or 4 offences in a single tackle. Completely mad. Psychopath but gentle as a kitten in real life. I don’t mind a bit of tackle drama where no one gets hurt etc. not like Latrell, what he did to Manu was low gutted Dog 101.

Yeah it’s hard to think of another sport with so many attributes.

Only way I would look at Xerri is a train and trial deal with a club option for a NRL contract. With condition he has to work his way into NRL via NSW Cup form.

He has been out of the game for years and not on supplements is a large shift for him.
It's great to take punts on players in this category but it must be the right deal/terms for us.

You would have to agree that there is way more quality at the Broncos at the moment than what is currently at the Wests Tigers.

At least they were in a position to contest for the top 4 and the top 8 at various stages, we won the spoon.
It all depends which way you look at it WT'S beat Broncos ?????

Anyone who followed Xeri's brother's trial would not want anything to do with him.

Zero remorse and they mocked the victim's family during the trial. Xeri in there with them.

The lowest of the low.

The only skill he stood out for was explosive speed off the mark...his hands and passing were poor and his D worse than Nofa.

That one elite skill was incredible speed off the mark...and, now, we all know why he had that skill. Which he won't have in the future.

Huge no.

Sheens is smart enough to not go anywhere near him.
