You would have to agree that there is way more quality at the Broncos at the moment than what is currently at the Wests Tigers. And the good players around him that took the Broncos from 4th to out of semi final contention are ????
Tigers always lose the better, and always keep the shit oneDidn’t realise Brooks picked the team
My guess is a couple of injury interrupted seasons before going back to a top 8 club. Or he’ll find a backflip loophole.I give Papali'i half a season before he succumbs to Wests Tigers syndrome (getting worse the more you play for WT).
I would take a punt on xerriCurious to read some opinions on Xerri.
Good, decent sized centre, very fast (on the juice anyway!), but seemed like a bit of a tool to me.
I believe he'll have served his time, (so clean slate) and he'd be very cheap.
But in saying a clean slate, I think you'd have to be an absolute fool to use PEDs in this day and age (so wouldn't think about it) but interested to hear others' opinions.
Yeah, he’ll probably do a Mo-Mat-oiai…..that’s what it’s called I believeMy guess is a couple of injury interrupted seasons before going back to a top 8 club. Or he’ll find a backflip loophole.
Love the analogy.Aloiai is like one of those guys on the highway that only starts doing the speed limit when you go to overtake him....
He's OK (Not worth what he's getting paid) But he really turns it on against us.
He doesn't play that well the majority of the time.
Sky's the limit though....
Broncos is a great place for him to develop and prove himself.
Have guys like Walters, Ikin and maybe even Lockyer around showing him the way... Renno even, he's no slouch... despite his body letting him down.
IMO, albeit may be a strange move - It makes so much sense. Penrith lads are locked in and rarely miss games... Renno though, is a regular on the injury list.
Their forward back and a spine of Walsh, Mam, Madden and whoever plays 9...
I can see it working.
Yeah, it’s got a lot going for it over other sports.Yeah 100% I’d take 1million a year playing Japanese rugby over 400k a year traveling up and down the east coast getting belted every week but thank Christ players choose to do it it’s easily the most entertaining sport in my opinion
Only way I would look at Xerri is a train and trial deal with a club option for a NRL contract. With condition he has to work his way into NRL via NSW Cup form.I would take a punt on xerri
It all depends which way you look at it WT'S beat Broncos ?????You would have to agree that there is way more quality at the Broncos at the moment than what is currently at the Wests Tigers.
At least they were in a position to contest for the top 4 and the top 8 at various stages, we won the spoon.
He is hopeless. No thanks. There'd be half a dozen clubs interested if he was given permission to look elsewhere. Including us.
Be great … in reserve grade.
We're goanna regret this one.Jock Madden, who was farewelled last Sunday and at the Kelly-Barnes Medal presentation night, will join the Broncos on a two year deal to boost their half depth (Courier Mail)
Hopefully it will be Tim and Benji finally turn Brooks into a gun. We're goanna regret this one.
I can see the articles now.
They chose to stick with Brooks
Agreed - Mby on $70k on the way he playedHe played at a minimum contract level
Until Madden becomes the new Thurston, I'm happy with this decision. Good luck to him. Like others have said he'll get to work on his game under Reynolds.Further evidence of blaming all our woes (if you can count losing Madden as a woe) on Brooks. You can have the opinion of Madden being better than Brooks and that Brooks should have been dropped to reggies to accommodate him (i'd disagree but that is the coaches call not Brooks). But Brooks signed his contract before Madden was even at the club, so he has not forced him out and his exit is in no way "all on Luke Brooks".
