I'm not against the return of Matt Lodge to WT if he could run straight and hard for us every time like he's doing for Easts.

I'm convinced he is a very good player in a very good team. I'm also convinced it is hard to look a very good player in a poor team. Lets be honest he is not going to get the platform from our forwards to do his stuff.
I cannot remember which commentator made this comment but it should resonate - Staines' speed allowed him to cover in defence. He really gave it a good go last night and keeps on incrementally improving. That is the type of player we need at WTs.
Ch9 is showing highlights of Renouf, Albert, Mullins. Pacey backs that is the key. Staines will walk into our backline.I like his attitude. He runs it back hard. I hope we do get him. I'm not convinced he is a walk up starter in our team though.
How good is To'o ? He is like a better version of Nofo.
For anyone interested - Jack Welsby tore Leeds to shreds for St. Helens in the SL Grand Final at Old Trafford today. Even the great Jonathon Davies described him as “Outstanding”. And that’s now in three consecutive Grand Final victories where in the first (aged barely 19) he won the game single-handedly in the last two seconds against Wigan and in the second shifted the momentum against a huge Catalans side and sent Saints home champions. Seriously, if you guys are looking for a difference maker - tell your owners to pick up the phone.

Fullback. Laurie going to 5/8. Doohey to centre. You think ?
I've been thinking about this.
As a winger?
Displacing Nofo or Maumalo?

Agree not sure how but next year would be goodWould he want to come.
The problem is that Tigers has a bad smell as a club. It reaks off the back of yrars of failure.
This is why we Must get our marquee signings to come next year.
Then we can dream about a Munster or a Latrell.
We extended AJ, Staford and signed Naden - all centres.Cannot see Staines being recruited as a NSW Cup / backup player.
If he signs for 3yrs or so you know he will be in the starting plans as he carries into Benji years.
He is a 21yr old good enough to play 35 games over last 2yrs for the best team in the comp.
He walks into our team. His defensive & attack have all improved noticeably this year, in NSW Cup he has been great at fullback making 200+ mtrs/line breaks/covering across the park.
The kid will be a walk up starter for us. He has 1+yr on any other back we used this year.
Maybe Laurie 5/8, AD center, Staines Fullback. Could be why Laurie 5/8th talk is happening.
He was good yes but if you’re a regular watcher of super league you’d know the defence is shocking and I mean shocking, standard has dropped over the last few years, Laurie would win man of steel if he was playing for Saints, convincingly. Laurie is only getting better, got his first representative selection and will be looking to build on that next season im sure, we need to look at locking him in.For anyone interested - Jack Welsby tore Leeds to shreds for St. Helens in the SL Grand Final at Old Trafford today. He looked good so did Knowles.I'm sold.
Let's go!
Welsby > Laurie !
I've always been a fan of Siro.He looked good so did Knowles.
What did you think of Siro?
Yeah Jason Taylor effect on the Tigers. He looked solid without doing anything great. He could of made a good ball playing lock.I've always been a fan of Siro.
I only watched highlights of the GF.
sadly he was a useless "ball runner", he never wanted to be tackled, he passed the ball before the tackle like Moltzen! He is exactly the type of player we don't want!Yeah Jason Taylor effect on the Tigers. He looked solid without doing anything great. He could of made a good ball playing lock.
