Two minor corrections, Bob Boland and Bob Mara, Les has been in the slam for a dozen years after being identified as Michael Harley’s cohort in drug running.

Bob Mara a great guy, Les was wild and mixed with the wrong crowd but was a funny guy.

For every JAC, there is a number of Peachey, Jennings, Packer, Reynolds type signings we want to get rid of after a year. JAC was actually probably the last player we signed that got better at WT.

I agree,and I think Staines will only get better and better as a player with more games in the top grade under his belt.

Bob Borland, Les Mara, Ron Clothier are a few names that come to mind and I think Len Killeen might have also had a year or two at Penrith

Dennis Tutty is probably the best known ex-Balmain player that went over to Penrith. Not sure, but I think Keith Outten did as well.

Staines may not be the Turd or Paps but he is an upgrade on the bush steers we've had in recent times. Be happy we got him. Just hope we get Klemmer and another one or two reasonable signings.

Gilbert signed with them on a three-year deal.
