Just reading about the appointment of former Wallaby Berrick Barnes as Knights kicking and backs coach. Be interesting to watch their kicking game and goal kicking stats in 23.
Such a critical part of the game. I’m not sure who is in charge of that at WT.

Yeah I thought that too. Plus I like what the Sheens and Co are doing, seems to have a different vibe about the place which makes it more attractive to lure players to the club.

Also Brooks and Moses played together when they were a bit younger I think and it would be a great swansong for them both the play together again for a couple of years.

I know we have heard this time and time again, but perhaps MM is the key to unlocking Luke Brooks. Mentally he would feel some pressure taken off, he'd be happy being surrounded by players and coaches he likes (with much more ability and a forward pack laying a platform), and if we can string a few wins on the trot together, who knows what that will do for team morale.

It could, of course, never work out but I like the sound of it.

You could almost feel sorry for someone trying to catch some of Pat’s spiral kick offs.
I remember one time at Brokie he was kicking them into the corner and their winger was trying to catch them looking directly into the sun.
One of the commentators said that was cruel.😂

I honestly believe Madge just wasn’t here at the rite time. With a coach like Madge he can only get the best out of players for a couple of seasons then they just end up busted and over his tough training. Alex Johnson told me him self. So if Madge happened to be here when we had a better roster who knows what would have happened

I truly think the game has passed Madge…. Doubt he will ever gig a NRL head coaching gig again

Exactly. He's not a 80 minutes player. Should of had a break 10 minutes either side of halftime. That's on the coaching staff

Once again it comes down to poor use of the bench, seems to continually be an issue with Madge.

Agree, always thought his bench players, and their usage, was off skew.

It’s surprising that there aren’t a heap of guys doing it already. It was such a low risk/high reward play you would think every team would be doing it by now.

That's true, the coach and his staff should have kept an eye on things like the players fatigue, subbing whoever they think it buggered.

All good, the up side is it knocks a competitor out of any future big name players who come on the market by taking up a big chunk of their cap

I'm prob wrong but I thought Patty was our kicking coach this year, I thought he returned and is amongst the guys now.

Unless his heart is with Parra, I don’t think he’ll stay. The premiership window for Parra is now shut for at least 5 years before they would be serious contenders again. At this stage we’re offering more money than Parra to get him and from what we’ve heard so far they haven’t budged on the offer. Obviously its due to wanting to retain both halves but if one does walk they might up the offer then but if Moses really wants to win a premiership he ain’t gonna do that at Parra. With how we’ve recruited we have a better chance of winning a premiership before Parra do. Even their own fans on their forum have basically written them off for a long time given who’ve they lost. Not saying that we will get him but if he really wants to win a premiership before he retires Tigers and Bulldogs are better options for him to achieve that than Parra within the next 5 years.
