● The relationship between one NRL chairman and his chief executive is at breaking point. Only one will survive the season.

● Huge pressure on the once invincible 2GB Continuous Call team in the ratings, with the ABC closing in on Saturdays and Triple M on Sundays. Trying to be funny doesn’t always work. Sometimes it can get stale. Listeners these days want to be informed. They want strong opinions and analysis.

● Drama at the Wests Tigers between Tim Sheens, Benji and Robbie.

● Everyone is talking about Anthony Griffin, Adam O’Brien and Justin Holbrook being under the pump. You can throw Kevvie Walters into that group as well. He needs to make the finals.

● Which huuuge-name NRL player will be offered an early release from his contract?
Drama at Tigers? Sounds like a reality show advertisement.

Nrl player to be released. Reckon itl be David Fafita. Why keep him on that big money if he's leaving the following year.

You're a pathetic wannabe troll. Can't even do that properly. I asked why people were focussing on 2012 rather than 2005 or 2011. The correct answer would be because they are miserable losers who would prefer to focus on negatives rather than positives, similar to yourself. Do yourself a favour and give yourself another uppercut.
Or maybe because 2012 was the last time we were a legitimate premiership hope and what the club could possibly learn from its errors in 2006 and beyond and 2012 and beyond

Other clubs can rebuild in 12-24 months ...we take at least a decade to rebuild

The facts are painful ...yes

Haas perhaps still ...Brisbane were going to renegotiate his contract in the off season according to Brisbane officials ...maybe it fell through ???

Chase Payne Haas. Include pro bono brydens legal representation for his mother.

Should get the deal over the line

David fifita to be released

No - that was Taylor’s…

He tried to teach the kids they had to earn the right to play footy (throw the ball around) like the successful clubs do. didn’t have the right kids… or the right club. Ivan let them do what they wanted a bit more and had some success with it, but Madge tried to bring it back - seems to work for the good clubs…

With the new coaching structure in place, I’m sort of expecting that we’ll go back to being a team that doesn’t like the tough stuff and we’ll win every other week most years - depending on the strength of the kids coming through.
I’ve lived with that for long enough, a little longer won’t kill me
The link is the interview between Sheens and Kent.

Compare your comments with those of Sheens. I know who I believe.

Just went through all off contract players by end of next year. I noticed the Roosters have 9playersoff contract plus two who have player options off contract. Some big names too. Some will resign but I reckon other teams should lock up the players they want because the chooks be coming to sniff out juniors.

K
I would be much more confident in Laurie or Smith doing a job over any of the 2nd tier halfbacks you mention.

We need to realise its a luxury for a team to have a Jock Madden or Sean O'Sullivan in reserves, and when you do they leave for other opportunities, just like Jock has with Brisbane and O'Sullivan has with the Dophins.

Souths with Hawkins, Roosters with Hutchison have the luxury at the moment, not many other teams do. For me, Laurie and Smith as back half options is very good.
Kurt Falls from Penrith is the guy I'd love to get

Unless someone has been let go and this is an upgrade at the right price.
You may have noticed that the Development player cap has been increased ….. significantly.
We have a number of young up and comers in our top 30 squad on low $s contracts. May be possible to restructure their contracts under Development cap and free up couple top 30 spots.
They could be compensated post 10 weeks into the season when they become eligible to play first grade.
Thats my theory anyway. I just feel that Sheens and co are not yet done with our top 30 roster numbers.
