Going to market for a controlling half...

I’m not as ruthless as some. If Naden and To’a make the most of pretty regulation chances yesterday it’s a different tale. It’s not just the halves it’s the whole backline.
We fixed our pack this off-season, next year it has to be our backs. Our priority has to be a ball player, work out who our fullback is then build from there, I'm hoping they're making calls now, but I'm not holding my breath.

We have better players
We haven’t improved

Agreed. The coaches have something to work with but we still have some recruitment issues. We have to fix our 1, 6 and 7. Staines and Brooks atm to me look like good options. I can't see us getting better.

We desperately need another half and ideally one who has a great kicking game. Moses would have been perfect. Cleary would be perfect.

We could also do with some better outside backs but Tupou should be a guy we can start to build around.

The coaches to me also stuffed up a bit. I don't think Brooks or Joe O should have been picked in their first games. I think Staines was clearly our best option at 1 and he wasn't given the role earlier.

Our middle forwards are also not getting us tackle busts and quick play the balls and offloads.

In stating all of that we have a new team and new coaches who are figuring things out. We also clearly needed to recruit better this year and will need to for next year as well. So although the players have improved we've also had significant flaws in our team and haven't really looked threatening until yesterday.

Not factually correct. Plenty of blokes have bombed easy tries outside of our halves. I can think of probably 10.

It's not as simple as just blaming the halves. They have been really poor though. It's been halves and fullback. There are also issues with our outside backs as well as just dumb plays at times. Tupou's pass yesterday despite being an absolute weapon.

Maybe my memory is pretty bad you might be right, but all I see up till the second half yesterday was just clunky and disjointed, like a pack of blokes who had never met before.

What the hell are you talking about? Not even getting into how you contradict yourself repeatedly, but we're 6th for tackle busts, 6th in post contact metres and 1st in offloads!

Stop pulling lies out of your arse.

I said in the preseason that he'll be back on the field at some point. The bit I never predicted was that we would have probably won more games if he had played.
You know I was surprised enough when Sheens pulled Skando and Ray Cashmere out of retirement, convinced Jason Moodie to delay his post-footy carpentry career and pulled Matt Utai out from park footy in Auburn; and even Sheens himself coming back a decade after he was sacked

BUT

my head would explode if Benji Marshall put a Tigers jersey on for the third session of his career.

Would you really be surprised if Benji does tho?
It would be a Tigers thing to do

Has Tupou played FB ? Looks extremely confident under the high ball.

I put nothing past us, rationality isn't a factor
