Same mine is due to the fact that the same incompetent clowns who got us in this mess ( the board ) are still there. I have absolutely no faith in them and can't do anything to contribute to change so just feel like it's a totally lost cause and feel totally defeated. Not worth worrying about anymore.

Why bother signing for 1 year? the Answer to your question is because he is worth more than he is getting but at the time that his contract was up, his preferred suitor was 12 months away from being able to pay what he wants/needs so he extends for 12 months. A young players career is short. Sign for 1 year and then clean up.
