We need some names Mr X ?
You don't just fluke a performance like he had against the Cowboys (more specifically a rep player like Holmes).
The ability is there, application to his job is all he needs to get some consistency.
T'oa is a star, don't worry about that, he just needs decent inside men. Bradman Best was ordinary this season until Ponga kicked into gear and he instamatically became a superstar worth $800,000. Same will happen with T'oa next year.Agree - he has the talent - whenever get gets the ball early in the right errors he's dangerous. Same situation as Zac Lomax - the team doesn't play well and he doesn't get opportunities, so people think he's no good.
So we think T'oa has a position locked up, moving forward?
Centre or wing ?
Agree RE: centreCentre. He's only 23, feels like he's been in the
game longer..Athlete. We wouldn't have re-signed
him otherwise. Agree with other posters, consistency
Agree RE: centre
Would like to see him grab it with both hands and really step up.
He's a centre Demps and so is Junior.So we think T'oa has a position locked up, moving forward?
Centre or wing ?
When we pumped the Cowboys, Brooks was on fire. T'oa had his best opportunity to play outside a good half and everyone saw the result.Agree RE: centre

100% he just needs to do it each game , he hammered Holmes in cowboys game , 10:games like that in a season he is playing rep footyHad literally one of the all-time great regular season centre performances vs Cows.
If he learns what consistency actually means, he could be an absolute menace. Solid re-signing for now, could be an excellent one if he kicks on.
Centre for meSo we think T'oa has a position locked up, moving forward?
Centre or wing ?
No way.So we think T'oa has a position locked up, moving forward?
Centre or wing ?
Hopefully we sign a few other options to make it competitive.No way.
He has to fight hard to earn it.
Despite his game v Cowboys, he was a disappointment this year.
Do yourself a favour go through each NRL team line up and confirm how many centres you can put your hand on your heart and be certain will be a better NRL centre than the improving Starford To’a in 2024.
If you are being fair dinkum, I don’t think you will find too many.
I agree as To’a clearly has the ability to be a much better player than what he showed in round 1.Really disappointed in To'a to start the season. He has had the ability to be as good as the likes of Tago, May, Staggs etc but not sure if he has their same level of desire, commitment & work ethic to harness his talent.
We have a few others in a similar boat.
Makes we wonder whether the club should invest in a sports psychologist to help these young guys develop.
Brisbane = Staggs is better, and Mariner is potentially better
Canberra = Kris and Timoko both better
Dogs = Kiraz is potentially better
Cronulla = Ramien is better
Gold Coast =
Manly = Garrick and Koula are both better
Storm = R Smith is better
Newcastle = Best and Gagai are both better
Warriors = Tuivasa-Sheck is better
Cowboys = Holmes is better
Parramatta = Penisini is better
Penrith = Tago and May are both better
Souths = Wighton is better
Dragons = Lomax is better, Suli probably is too.
Roosters = Manu and Suali are both better
Dolphins = Hammer and Averillo are both better
Lol no. No he has not.Really disappointed in To'a to start the season. He has had the ability to be as good as the likes of Tago, May, Staggs etc
Maybe he's waiting to play the Cowboys again.Really disappointed in To'a to start the season. He has had the ability to be as good as the likes of Tago, May, Staggs etc but not sure if he has their same level of desire, commitment & work ethic to harness his talent.
