Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not sure why you're being argumentative, i don't know you from Adam. Of course they'll recruit and bring juniors through - every team does, every year. But every team doesn't bring in a good coach and bring about a change in attitude every year. That's what will make them a top 4 side again. QED.
I'm not being argumentative, I'm engaging in a discussion. Don't take it personally. To be honest, though - and sorry to be blunt - you're not really making much of a point. I'm asking specifically how you think a team with an increasingly lousy roster is going to be catapaulted back into the top four. If you think a coach and "attitude" is enough to offset the whole "having crappy players" thing, I don't really have anything else to say.

Oh, one thing. Souths' ladder finishes in recent years are 6th, 3rd, 7th, 9th, and they are currently 17th. So becoming a top four side "again" means achieving something they haven't done since 2021. I can't imagine why anyone would think this current Souths roster is a likely candidate to achieve that.

Jeral Skelton in Cup last week

1 try
22 runs for 302 metres
2 line breaks
10 tackle breaks

that is a first grader. yes he has issues defensively but I'd back Morris to sort him out. stuck behind Kiraz, Addo-Carr, Tracey and Wilson... we could certainly do worse.
We need pace though, would we take him over Faatape and Feledy as our slow outside back?

Pal, I don’t need to make a point to you. On this forum I only engage with people I respect and who are respectful. You have shown yourself to be neither of those things so I’ve finished talking with you.

If True, Could you please somehow grab a screen shot/Photo??????

That would give me immense bragging rights of my NRL WhatsApp Group

Sorry it was so hard for you, "pal".

Has Pascoe been consulting there for four years? That slide looks familiar.

He sure is a beast with the ball going off his highlights

I wonder how his defence, effort areas & aerial ability are? I haven't watched any of his games.

Someone mentioned last year he has a turning circle like a Ken Mamaulo circa 2023.
Jeral’s aerial ability is very good! Was an excellent lineout jumper at school and in the Australian 7’s program. What will be missing is the supporters for the short kickoff receives. Wonderful young man and I hope Wests look seriously at him.

I thought the reason Bennett was leaving the Dolphins is that he wants to be a coach not a director of football type? How's that going to work given we already have a head coach?
Benji.
Like everyone else, Wayno loves him.

Well that ended quickly. I was about to jump in but it started going south quickly.
I think they are somewhere in the middle of both your opinions. I think they need a decent coach, a few decent players (like a halfback), get Latrines head back in it, and they’d be playing finals football. Anyway, souffs suk!!!

With right discount and right attitude he could be turned into quite a weapon. Something we lack at lock.
Someone would need patience and time to get the kids clock and confidence to wha it was when he first arrived on the scene.
I reckon it could be a special project for Morris, Farah and Heighno.
But is he for sale ? And didn’t Benji look at him closely during the off season and said “ no thanks”.

Just saw on Nine News he’s been told to look for another club so looks like he’s on the market.
But they mentioned $800k, definitely not at that price !
