I'm not being argumentative, I'm engaging in a discussion. Don't take it personally. To be honest, though - and sorry to be blunt - you're not really making much of a point. I'm asking specifically how you think a team with an increasingly lousy roster is going to be catapaulted back into the top four. If you think a coach and "attitude" is enough to offset the whole "having crappy players" thing, I don't really have anything else to say.

Oh, one thing. Souths' ladder finishes in recent years are 6th, 3rd, 7th, 9th, and they are currently 17th. So becoming a top four side "again" means achieving something they haven't done since 2021. I can't imagine why anyone would think this current Souths roster is a likely candidate to achieve that.

Has Pascoe been consulting there for four years? That slide looks familiar.

Someone mentioned last year he has a turning circle like a Ken Mamaulo circa 2023.

Jeral’s aerial ability is very good! Was an excellent lineout jumper at school and in the Australian 7’s program. What will be missing is the supporters for the short kickoff receives. Wonderful young man and I hope Wests look seriously at him.

I think they are somewhere in the middle of both your opinions. I think they need a decent coach, a few decent players (like a halfback), get Latrines head back in it, and they’d be playing finals football. Anyway, souffs suk!!!

A ball playing forward would be handy, even if he needs some carrying in defence.

With right discount and right attitude he could be turned into quite a weapon. Something we lack at lock.

I reckon it could be a special project for Morris, Farah and Heighno.

Just saw on Nine News he’s been told to look for another club so looks like he’s on the market.
But they mentioned $800k, definitely not at that price !

Isn't Scott Fulton in talks with the Dragons? If so I suspect Schuster will follow him

As if you wouldn’t take schuster . He’s clearly reserve grade standard so manly will have to eat half a mil for sure of that contract .
There’s no way they wouldn’t have to ! So now you are looking at schuster for 300-400k for 3 and a half years .
Peter Moussa and his team are highly rated , so you’d back that they’d figure out if it’s an Olam type situation that needs a unique program / he’s lazy and they will flog him.
I personally think we should consider , but only if the whole contract is suplemented . Not these 25-26 , but you pay 800k for 27 deals .
I guess it really depends how much manly value a middle of the pack player , (who is better than schuster) right now , vs the potential of schuster . He just needs to commit to the backrow , otherwise he’s going to the Coal train path of wasted potential .

Agree. He would have something lined up. Drags got cash will be going after Turuva, NAS, Schuster plus others.
