When you are a bottom 4 team & have been for a while now it probably is the best way forward but you're right in saying that is a very slow process to improve the team. Penrith have shown though that this model works & it is the best way to set up long term sustainable success. Personally, I don't think we're that far away as people think.
Dogs quick off the mark, announce his signed for 4 years and the bonus is the Rorters are chipping in…meanwhile back at Tigertown……nada….we announce we are going back to Commbank…where we play on a “home” ground that feels like an away groundSo the Dogs rebuild continued unabated, while we just sit on our hands and knees...and remain in last place
Sitili Tupouniua to go to the Dogs next year....
Why oh why aren't we in the race for him?...we supposedly have the cap space, he is far better than any forward we currently have, including Stefano...
They aren't bad guys, it sets a dangerous precedent when we try to move players everyone says its business but when a player wants to move everyone calls it disloyalty. Good luck to them getting the $$$ they got but other clubs would not have paid anywhere near that for average players. Its only my opinion, I dont mind paying overs for elite players like Luai. But Sullivan, Bateman, Klemmer, Naden, Staines weren't wanted by any other club and we still paid overs for them. You make it sound like these players are the bad guys in this scenario. If I was lucky enough to negotiate a contract on overs, I would not walk away from it for practically anything.

Charlie is only on about 300k a year mateThey just extended Staines late the offseason… no blaming Pascoe, Sheens or Fulton for that one … doesn’t fill me with a lot of confidence
.Every team in the comp wld envy thier roster "management"....because theyre bloody cheats,!Of course you would. Thats why their roster management is envied.
You’ve got to be creative with 3rd party stuffSo how do we get good rep players to come here for $700k a year, when the Roosters and Souths are offering the same money

Yep. And poach the next generation of rep players when they are on the fringe of debuting. We don't. We stop trying to get rep players to come here & heavily invest in our juniors to lead us forward. We sign players who can fill in & do a job for the time being but not ones who will block the path of the kids coming through. It's only once you do all this that the club will improve & then you will be able to sign rep players on those sorts of unders. But the hope is you develop these rep players rather than sign them.
Well that should make you happy? When Uncle Nick and his billion $$ passes on,they will end up like the North Sydney Bears..extinct!
For the coin he's on he hasn't been too bad.I heard $350 a year ….
Even so … 2 years right? $600k I would have preferred to spend elsewhere… he has been a disappointment
V 'landys will probably take over from Politis . Not beyond the realms of possibility given the way he works the sporting systems.Well that should make you happy?
That makes me feel better to know we are 25% as good as the chooks😂😂For all the wankery over the Roosters… they have won the comp three times in 22 years
they aren’t exactly Manchester City…
That makes me feel better to know we are 25% as good as the chooks😂😂
Wests Tigers 1 premiership in the past 19 years against the chooks 4 premierships since 2002
Much better strike rate of final series made to victories with us at 33%
Dont be ridiculousWell that should make you happy?
We should be using it to our advantage.I don't think Tupouniua is someone we should be angry on missing out on. Especially on a 4 year deal.
