He's just too small. Same size as Faalogo but without the pace and skill. Even Melbourne would rotate him to centre on the last to put a big body on wing for kick defusal. I just don't see either of the Lauliliis making first grade careers, both too small and so far lack the skills to compensate against men

Same boat as Tumeth and Matamua for mine...
Just not showing enough in lower grades to do it on the big stage.

Luke to lock , train him up he hits hard , runs hard , has some pace , could work

Having both of them along with Sukkar and Saukuru all on top 30 deals next season is ridiculous.
All deserve to be on Development deals to see how they progress, but none of them would be top 30 players at any other NRL club just yet.

Isn't Sukkar on a development contract now? This year is important for his development plus a hard pre-season.

He is, but he's never going to be a first grader. Surely one contract we try pay out unless we can offload him.

Being a development club does not mean that all decent 17 years old get given long terms contracts. They should still have to earn it. That's what professional clubs do. It creates a culture of excellence and high performance.

Taking a punt on a generational potential player like Galvin, Latu or even Miller is ok. Players who have stood out above the rest at a very high level you take that punt on. What has Sukkar ever done to suggest he could be an NRL player? Has he ever even been man of the match in any game, in any grade? Has he ever been in the top 5 in flegg or Cup?
No.
He's a long way behind the likes of Broederlow, Johannsen in our pecking order

I did watch Sukkar in an NRL trial and he looked comfortable at that level. We need to remember he is what Flegg age and level? Forwards do take time to mature although there are exceptions like Pole. Some of our players have been given accelerated development while others like Faagutu who should be lock in NSW Cup is continually played out of position at prop in Flegg.

We have to remember that these days forwards peak at 24-26 and by the time they reach 30 many are barely able to keep up with the pace of the NRL.

At least 2 of the tries conceded by our Flegg team last weekend were straight through where Vaihu was defending.
For that effort he gets promoted to NSW Cup ?
Is there any type of criteria for who goes up and down between grades as it doesn’t often seem to be form related ?

I always thought he was a promising player, much like Elie El Zakem and Brad Morkos - all from the Cedar world cup team.

Definitely NSW cup standard but a welcome addition to our sub par squad.

Perhaps the Farah connection got this deal worked out.

See how he goes.
