Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Between discipline and injuries he’s been a bit of a liability.
His discipline is appalling, was he like that at the Raiders? Or did he pick up bad habits in England?

That's the reason I have concerns about Horsburgh..... he's toured the Centre of Excellence so it's a 60/40 he's coming to Concord. His discipline reminds me of a bloke by the name of Johnny Cogger......brother of Wests Magpies legend Trevor Cogger & uncle of Newcastle's Jack Cogger....he was a bloody hot head that cost games. I hope another team gets him.

Edge backrower and lock need to be the priority should we land Hunt or Horsbrugh. Looking at the current depth chart going into next year, the backrow easily has the least depth.

Sezer is Goooooooone!
Good riddance really, he's a discipline nightmare.....Benji was ropeable with him after the Manly game with him being reported twice.....and that's after two hip drop suspensions.

I would think that it will be one of Horsburgh / Hetherington and one of Frizell / Bird, plus Royce.

if the rumours regarding To'o are legitimate Richardson will leave a spot free and some cash in the cap to make it happen.
While ever WT have Jarome , Brian is a chance to come across, but I doubt it'll happen next season.

Jeez I think a few are going slightly over the top on Wishart personally. Don’t get me wrong, he is playing great footy - maybe even one of the form players with his big show & go. The best comparison I could make is when Blake Austin was cutting everyone up the same way that 1 year, people were saying the same about him. Problem is he isn’t going to be flying under the radar much longer, eventually teams will study for that big dummy & he will have to improve his ball skills or strength.

IMO The reason Wishart is so effective is because everyone has been so worried about the other guys on the field (pap, Grant, Hughes, Munster). Hopefully I’m wrong because he’s a fun player to watch & a good story of never giving up but I think he’ll come back to earth next season, not ever going close to being a origin player

Not unfit?? You can visibly see how tired he is on the field after 10-15 minute stints at the sharks every game. He might be a strong guy but he is clearly not ‘fit’, everyone on here can see that. Some players are better with some extra size on them but he won’t be anywhere near as effective if he is on for longer then 15 minute stints at a time
From what I've heard from a mate who is a mad Sharkies fan (but coaches young Magpies ATM) the Sharks have a real boozy culture (Greatly adding to "Northies" profits.

Might be the booze that is the reason he gets "gassed". Regardless I still like him as an impact player, especially when the Tigers are in the opposition's red zone. Close to the line he's a real threat to score or as a decoy.

Tyran Wishart will play Origin next year that’s how good he’s going! Pay him 650k to play lock for us! He would be a bargain! A goal kicking player who can literally play every position on the field without being a weakness! Literally the ultimate competitor 🔥

Nick Meaney is up there with Wishart & a handy goal kicker to boot. I don't think he's off contract though??

They need to buy a couple of forwards …Can’t see them having enough money for To’o as well… maybe 2026
While ever Wests Tigers have Luai, To'o is a good chance to come over. I agree he won't come next year (though I'm happy to be wrong about that) but from 2026 on? Good chance.

How about Niwhai Puru for bottom end top 30 depth to play halfback and steer our NSW Cup team in the right direction once we offload Sullivan ?
Sezer could play that same role, but he’d be more expensive and I don’t think he would be content to play NSW Cup all season.
Sezer going back to ESL next year.

Sezer's done okay this year, wish he stayed on the field more, but surplus to requirements with Luai coming, Jerome should provide all the leadership and experience required to steer the club around.
I don't see see this really having an impact on Sullivan's situation either club seems completely off him.

Agree. He has put effort in & shown some passion for us. Do also think as the season progressed he has been a positive influence to Galvin also.

He is better than a reserve grader but wouldn’t get 1st crack here.

Good luck to him and hope gets a few more years in ESL.

Sezer was brought here to mentor our young halves and has done his job.
If it wasn’t for the League cracking down on every day football incidents like (stupid names)
Crusher
Hip drop
He would have been on the field for more games than he had.
Good luck to him for the future.
