Poor old Sharon Woods, he's been around a bit and would have so many post codes these days that he's probably beating himself up. 🤣Speaking of which, couldn’t help laugh at the Police Commissioner say I can’t believe people are having gang fights about post codes. 🤣
Yes I do. Although the topic im about to bring up is not that popular in conversation at this time however, it is still a common topic. Benji being the coach of the tigers. I think we need to put trust in the bloke let the club build off a culture that has been lacking for a decade. This can happen under benji who is tiger through and through. Also a very intelligent coach with lots of respect from players. No one could of gotten a better position for the tigers this season with the squad that they had which often lacked experience in the NRL. Put it into perspective we averaged a sin bin almost every game, NRL rules are much more stricter then the rules the younger debutants are used to in KOE and Hmatts or SG. I think with the addition of two more Penrith players such as Luai and Turuva will add that experience and confidence we need within the team for next season. Just hope that Galvin stays but if not we have a good five eight to slot in, Latu Fainu. All we need from Benji is to masterplan a tough pre season something similar to the top teams which push our players to fitness levels that we have lacked in other seasons. Winning starts in the preseason and it also starts from the head of office. The club wont make the 8 next year but we will be promising maybe a 10-12th finish which is a far better improvement. I just hope tigers dont jump the gun and sack benji. Give him 1 more year after 2025 to really decide if we need a different coach. The tigers also have players in juniors that we need to keep such as Onitoni Large and Makasini who are guns and have proven themselves in SG (Correct me if im wrong).got any lip about the team ,your thoughts on them?or your just happy 2 have a swing.
Yes the way benji was appointed wasn’t smart but the tigers board did it and this is where we’re at so we need to trust him. Sack him and the tigers will just restart and the same shit will happen over and over. We’ve sacked that many coaches and look where it’s got us. The club has no culture, no identity, and no winning culture. Blokes don’t even know the winning songThe coach lacked more experience than most the players
100%. I think luai will help us. The bloke has a great competitive edge and pulls up players for not doing well. If you’ve seen the clip of luai spraying salmon a few years ago after the game. Hope he brings this attitude the tigers have lackedWorse than that they forgot how to win. If Luai can't help us it could get ugly.
Well, we're off to.a good start. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result
This is one thing I’ve questioned every year, why we have not signed someone who can goalkick.Salmon was 1 guy. We are 16 more. Thata a lot of sprays in one game. Hope he's not goal kicking.
There are two mistakes we make every year and have done for a long time. We don't go into games with a top class goal kicker, someone who is 80% plus and we never seem to worry about for and against. Having missed the playoffs one year on for and against you'd think we'd be all over that but ...... no. Of course we make a shedload of other mistakes but those two annoy me beyond belief. This is one thing I’ve questioned every year, why we have not signed someone who can goalkick.
Read the post.Only 2 mistakes?
You gotta stop that .. !! You make way too much sense there with that statement .. !!Given Cronulla's salary cap issues a somewhat unknown front rower such as Tukupa-Ke Hau Tapuha could be a cheapy and worth considering. He is 22 years old, 114kg and 196cm and has played the odd NRL game for the Sharks this year when injuries have struck. From what I have seen he has potential (I know that is a dangerous word to use) but given his age and the number of front rowers in front of him at the Sharks he may be looking for other opportunities.
And then we sign players like Russell Packer and Brent nadenThere are two mistakes we make every year and have done for a long time. Thats the least of our problems right now. Our goal should be the other teams sharp shooters not getting pot shots against us. Defence.
Yep as the contract is paid monthly.Pretty sure we would have come out a little in front... the Pommy club would have kicked in for his time spent over there.
The thing with Bateman is if we paid him say $700k this year, plus forward paid him $450k from future years into this year, and he earned $450k from playing in the super league, it means he was paid $1.6m this year. From a cash flow perspective, I don’t believe any player in the history of rugby league has ever had $1.6m of cash flow in a single season from on field earnings only. Not even in the Super League era?
I know the numbers are approximate and I know what has been forward paid he was owed anyway but I am talking about cash flow.
This would be right up there with the biggest rort of the century given Batemans’s output.
Brilliant goalkicker and player Valentine Holmes, but our Club showed no interest. You gotta stop that .. !! You make way too much sense there with that statement .. !!
That’s why we went after and signed a 28 year old .. 125kgs prop that only playes 12 to 20 mins per game .. !!
