We are seeing in Cronulla the same thing. Nicho Hynes is Anxious and it's effecting his onfield performance. Craig F is doing the right thing, not making changes during the finals run and keeping Nicho focused on football.


To understand Motivation: Watch this youtube from Prof: Daniel Pink. Increasing money, for complex tasks actually reduces performance. If you are shoveling dirt a pay bonus may make you work a little harder. A halfback or any complex mental task, using pay as a motivator will make it worse.

Point out to me where I ever said anxiety isn’t real. I can assure you, without giving too much away, that I’m far more qualified to talk on the topic of anxiety and mental health than probably most on this forum.

The “football anxiety” excuse would carry some weight be it wasn’t just one of a million excuse used for Brooks. When his moron supporters were going as far as to blame the height of his winger for his shit passes, you know they’re reaching.

Brooks problem isn’t mental, it’s a lack of skill and a inept club propping him up as a saviour and blowing smoke up his ass.

Saint have now signed 3 veterans (Bit like WTs in previous years) Val Holmes, Cook and Gutho

Agreed , offload Bateman and Sullivan - with richo in the drivers seat, this club by now (I know we have all said it) has learnt enough lessons about salary cap management. Our past recruitment has been horrid, but I am positive with 25/26.

No more wooden spoons , on my limited bar wall at home, I have run out of space, and I am not using them to stir the spaghetti sauce .
 
I checked out of the Brooks debate the moment someone literally implied he was a child molester. That was the moment I was like “Jeeessusss, this is the standard we have been reduced to?”. Some of you will still be wanting to debate him 5 years after you’re dead. We’ll just pull out a Ouija board and sit there and watch as it spells out “Brooks sucks”. Or you’ll go to a medium who will say “They’re showing me a WT’s jersey with the number 7 on it. I’m getting a lot of intense, negative emotions”.
 
Just reading that OLAM has just , started recovery from his surgery, does any one have any info , he stopped playing in august, why would they wait till now to operate on him

It's both knees. Usually when it's both knees they don't do surgery at the same time as it messes with the rehab.

They need to take their time because if this doesn't work, we're stuck with a broken down player for 2 more years.

My opinion is based in facts and conversations I’ve had about this .
Great bloke . Awesome coach . Playing for him sounds like the worst . That’s what I’ve been told is the narrative around the nrl .
Does that make the players soft . Maybe . Or , as I know first hand , getting yelled at incessantly, whilst you’re giving it all , was way less constructive than a group of guys lifting each other up and driving the standards . “Let’s go boys, again “ is way different to “get up , do it again “ .
So unless you’ve actually been through both , than you’re not delusional , you’re naive and commenting on something you don’t even know .
If you need to be slave driven for motivation , than you are never going to achieve the same level as a group of guys who can do it themselves .

I would almost guarantee that he will play First Grade next season, as soon as he is old enough. We played Ben MM on debut in a semi final as part of his signing terms and I have no doubt that the same will have happened with Mak.

The club we support is too stupid to find the same loop homes that other clubs and operators such as Phil Gould can.
