Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Got to be realistic though, Preston will not be allowed to leave. That would be an amazing swap though. I think they would let Kikau go.

Hopgood for me from the eels, but that Guymer looks an interesting prospect
Kikau would be great. Hopgood and/or Jack Williams would be good. I wonder if Guymer has reached his potential like a Corey Payne or will continue to get stronger and more athletic. He's only 20, could be interesting.

I’d be very hesitant about Kikau. He’s 30, on big coin and has spent a decent amount of time injured over the last three seasons (in fairness he did play most games last season).

Hopgood would be really good though. We’ve needed a lock for while and he fits the bill.

Yes it's a crap show only watch bits of it when Tigers are on it but last night when they were using Twally to get laughs just turned it off, classless bunch of cretins.
Twally is a funny guy. It's just his style of humour. There's something endearing about him that people also love. He is being ushered into the media and will have great career after football. Don't look into it too much.

Kitkat is on the older end but just like api he could provide a great opportunity for succession planning with that young tall timber edge we have Phoenix Godinet

Speaking of bullies ...
I'm sure that it's all in fun and very reminiscent of some of the stuff Fatty did on the Footy Show way back when you could get away with a lot of things that these days are just really pushing the envelope or just simply not on.

I personally can have a bit of a laugh at some of this stuff, but looking back on some of it it was just really hurtful and sad.

The real hard but about a trade is that the other player has to want to go a little at lease. Preston etc are playing for the best team in the comp currently

I understand the risk, but Richo’s job is to find a way to get the deal done. I don’t think this approach had much chance of succeeding.
Granted he didn’t get the deal done but he succeeded in flushing out a rat and reacting with strength, leadership and team unity. Would we have been in a better position at the end of the year? Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes it’s best to cash out early.
